Or have laws that infringe on our constitutional rights.
Speaking of Constitutions......
Thomas Jefferson believed the constitution should be rewritten every 19 years.
He wrote that the dead should not rule the living, thus constitutions should expire frequently.
There have been 760 Constitutions used worldwide since ours was enacted in 1789.
The average document shelf life is 16 years.
Typical African country Constitutions last 10 years. Latin America is 12.5
Western Europe is second longest with an average of 32 and in Asian countries it's about 19.
The United States?
232 years and still going. Yes, there are amendments, but a lot of it is still ridiculously outdated.
The 2nd was written in regard to single shot flint and gunpowder firearms.
Thank the Wild Wild West and John Wayne for that never getting revised for the times.
Everyone LOVES tucking The Constitution under their arm cause it's an easy tug at the patriotic heartstrings,
but most will cherry pick the parts they want to preach about and then pretend the rest is mute.
The number of people choosing not to recognize the FULL Constitution right now in this country is staggering.
And a good number of them probably have big flags flying on their properties.
