What`s with The Gear Page???

BTW:

nslookup thegearpage.net
name: thegearpage.net
address: 108.168.144.156

[Querying v4.whois.cymru.com]
[v4.whois.cymru.com]
AS | IP | AS Name
36351 | 108.168.144.156 | SOFTLAYER - SoftLayer Technologies Inc.,US

So for some reason your ISP(s) may have issues with the entire SoftLayer IP space (ASN 36351 - https://www.dan.me.uk/bgplookup?asn=36351) or it could simply be that one IP that hosts TheGearPage.net has a bad route. The entire ASN being blocked is less likely, but check the reach-ability of the IPs in that link.

BTW - there's one other domain hosted on that same IP - http://www.tgpwebzine.com/ Can you reach that page as well?

I can't access TGP either. I'm in UK and my ISP has been changed recently. But I could access TPG after the change, just last couple of weeks just get timed out messages.

I'm not banned and I'm still getting emails about watched threads, links don't work either.

Nor does going via a google search link work either?????????

Just got Email from TGPs Scott Petterson asking people to email him their Internet service providers if they can't log on. The link posted earlier works for email.

I can log on..... But it drops off or frozen all the time. Only happens on TGP and only since the change in format.

I have no issues with TGP - other than some of the nonsensical threads and Bro-Love over there.

The Gear Page has 143,584 members. Rig Talk has 17,608....... The nonsense is directly proportional.

TGP isn't too bad...funny sometimes but, different strokes and all. One members rant I'll never forget..He went to a jam session or something like that and somebody had the nerve to step on his cable....It went on for 2-3 pages...lol!!

Guess that guy doesn't play out much.

OK Today I can now log in with TGP. No idea why it works now or what changed. Scott Peterson at TGP has asked me to tell anyone who still can't log on to TGP to contact at his email address which was given earlier on this thread. TGP did a check at their end on my IP number and found no reason for me being unable to log on.

I guess someone somewhere has fixed a "peering issue" or something... interesting that the internet can "lose" even a harmless website... how easily government with could lose an irritating site if it wanted/needed.

Always good to see you Stu..... And thanks for passing the information.
