Anything from VH1, IMO.

I disagree. Plug into a stock Plexi and you never get that VH1 gain.

This is Plexi to me.

I guess you haven't seen some of those epic 99 page threads on TGP, huh. It's been debated to death over there. Some guys have done demos over there that definately get very close with a plexi and nothing up front. Pete thorn has that Suhr SL68 that is about as close as you can get. But then again, he is Pete Thorn.

Danny, I saw a youtube video of you playing a Fortin Cali mod. Nice playing and great tone. Had that lynch thing going. Off topic, but what are you playing through now and how does it compare to the Fortin.

I would take a guess that a decent amount of 70's Scorps is Plexi. It's raw but sweet on the top end. Maybe more so Uli. Just guessing but we all know how crazy the Germans are about vintage Marshall :lol: :LOL:
Believe that's an 'luminum Super trem actually.

You replying to that is some funny shit.

When I think pure plexi I think stuff like ACDC, Humble Pie, etc. VH to me is more goosed/abused/crazed plexi.

Agree on all accounts.

Plexi = This.....

Regardless of whether or not they actually used a Plexi on this recording, at the end of the day, they got a Plexi tone.
