Pete Thorn did a demo of a delay specifically designed to go in front of an overdriven amp and I remember he seemed to like it. Can't remember the name. I'll have to look it up.

Lovepedal Echophonic Jr.
And why the hell do you want to run delay in front anyway?
I have a loop but some suck tone. And yes, I've done the w/d thing. It sounds great but is kind of a pita live.nzsteve":1nzfpwm1 said:Are you going to run a delay into the front of the amp because you do not have an effects loop? Have you tried a wet/dry setup? I cant believe I never tried it until this year... It is the perfect way to deal with amps with no effects loop... Sounds incredible..
I have to check that outcardinal":ydj02tmp said:I know you already have one, but I'm getting reasonable results with the Flashback out front of a JCM800. Have to be very careful with the Level and Feedback knobs (and I mean really careful, very fine adjustments will make or break it IME), but it sounds pretty good in a variety of the modes. I think I like the MOD mode the best (because I think you have to give up the ghost on getting pristine repeats, so the MOD setting just embraces that).

You could look for a used one.
I have to give this one a shot. Where was the best deal?LP Freak":31mynewx said:Update....
Well I watched a bunch of clips and the one that caught my eye was the Love Pedal Echophonic Jr. (Thanks Chris) I was a little skeptical after watching Pete Thorn's demo because he always makes everything sound good.
Anyway Pete was right though, it sounds great through the front of my amps. There's really no comparison to the Flashback or the Carbon Copy. And the controls have allot more sweep which makes it much easier to dial it.
