What's a good pickup for basswood?

Well...I tried the SD Distortion last night.
I think it's too trebly/thin??/
Guess i gotta try something else

i think my friend put a dimarzio super distortion in his J.C. it sounded pretty mean. that was also around 1986, but I'm pretty sure that's what it was. back in those days we were all doing the RR and VH thing. hopefully nobody will chime in and say that you can only use it for the Brewtulz MetAlz!!

you might want to look at the gfs or rockfeilds. they seem to be getting a lotta praise for being on the affordable side.
