What's the best high gain amp you've played?

Tough to choose one. I think for high gain in any situation I'd say my fav has been the VH4. Every time I play one it just kills.
Also loved my modded recto, MarkIV, Ecstasy 101b, Engl Invader among others

I still haven't gotten to play an ecstasy yet but I've always thought it would be right up my alley.

The Diezel VH4. And you ripped it up on my old one my friend.

Yeah, ever since that day I've had a never ending VH4 boner. When I get serious about guitar again I'll probably buy one to suck it up on

For me the Herbert I absolutely love this amp. A close second for the High gain is the Dar FBM.

I don't have a ton of variety with amps I've played, but I'll start with a Top 3 - Fryette Sig:X, Bogner 101b, Jet City Earhart (Cornford MK50HII). I'm biased to the Earhart since I own it, but love the variety AND quality both of the other amps can provide.

So, my Earhart through a Mesa 4x12 would be it. Sounds great through my Avatar OS 2x12, a Orange 2x12, and a Bogner 4x12 - all with the same V30s, but the Mesa version V30s just seemed a little warmer.

I also tend to like anything Jerry(FJA) gets his hands on. I bought a Windsor when MF was blowi g them out at $200 shipped. Hadit sent to him and was blown away with what he did to it. it was his 80's plus mod if I remember correctly. I would put that amp up against $1500+ amps and it would hold it's own lol
