My thoughts for what they are worth... I don't know this young lady. She seems like she can play very well. However, there are millions of very talented guitars in actual touring bands that you hear on the radio that don't have signature guitars. Kramer is owned by the Gibson corporations. They don't exactly just hand out sig guitars. Think about their roster. Slash, Bonamassa, Jerry Cantrell, Kirk Hammett, Snake Sabo, etc... (The last one is questionable I know.) The point is that all of these artists are playing in major band that play for thousands of people and have sold millions of records.

This young lady has a YouTube channel. Maybe if she had won the slot in Pantera, maybe... but she didn't. Gibson endorses artists with "rock star power." This young lady simply doesn't have that.

My $0.02 anyway...

You ain't wrong.

Just noticed a lot of y'all are thinking she got offered a sig model. That doesn't seem to be true. Some companies offered her a free guitar but wanted her to just play their guitar, not her original one she has been playing this whole time. She said "No thanks". Then Kramer offered her a guitar, but not what she wanted. So she passed. She was never offered a signature model. So the Kramer forum stepped up to clone her original favorite. That's what i was talking about in the original post.

I listened to her cover of Miracle Man, and from what I can tell, to my ear, it's full of mistakes and changes. She gets tones laden with the effects the original songs used, but I guess that's easy when your amp is basically a computer. She's a better guitar player than me, but I'd like to see her play live rather than a bunch of simps pining for her and building her a guitar. And to use today's lingo from the kids, her posting a video about it is so cringe.

How dare you, she’s a princess, everybody owe her, Kramer must crawl to her begging to accept a full array of sugnature guitars in all shapes. Jk lol

Fuck that shit, we already got too much overrated bitches in the business. And ukrainian guy that posted here on ToneMonster’s Metallica contest fucking eats her alive skillwise.

That fucking sophie lloyd doesnt even play in her videos, only mimics, shit is fishy.

At first, I thought it was gonna be about a forum doing something cool for someone going through a difficult time or that was in some way disadvantaged or deserving of something they couldn't afford..........but tbh I only watched a short bit of the video

Your making a whole lot of sense.

I didn’t watch the video, but I got to ask: does she doll up for her videos? You know, make up, t-shirt hanging off a shoulder, tight clothes, etc?

Eventually, all of them are processed by the machine that is the music industry into sex objects. Like Annie St Vincent, who went from classy to trashy. Or Mohini Dey.

It makes me not want to watch women playing music most of the time. A huge turnoff. If you’ve got skills, let the focus be on that.

Of course, using your feminine wiles is also a skill.

I like Lisa X though, she completely outshreds me and doesn’t dress like a tart. Tal Wilkenfeld too.

It’s cool she got her props and tons of exposure from Pantera, but let’s be real.. there was literally zero chance they were taking a bedroom player and putting her in dimebags spot in one of the biggest metal bands ever to play stadiums.

Very true. Ola would have been the only one that could have done it, as he has previous experience with Cannibal Corpse and touring with The Haunted. So, he has seen large stages and crowds.

I really don’t think Ola is even close to being a big enough “brand name dude” for that, I’m not sure there are really any they could get away with besides zakk wylde, think about a commercial coming on the radio for “the reuniting Of PanterA stadium tour, featuring YouTuber Ola” or “Kayla the innocent looking dorky girl with terrible bangs that plays in her bedroom, get your tickets now!!!”, the average person not into music gear would be like wtf?!? I can’t imagine the managers, sponsors or whoever else has say in the matter would even allow someone that’s not basically a household name like zakk is, maybe Kerry King or one of the slipknot dudes, maybe Peteucci. The whole thing just shouldn’t be happening in the first place though if you ask me lol

Ola is known in the metal community. Between, Cannibal Corpse, The Feared and The Haunted he has played large metal festivals. I know he was on the short list for sure. (Not trying to swing on anyone's dick... just sayin)

In reality, it was always Zakk's to lose. He was close with Dime and the Pantera camp. Making him the obvious choice.

Let me get this straight: You’re comparing Ola Englund to Zakk Wylde?

And you’re doing it with serious intent, asserting that he deserves a place in one of the biggest bands of all time, Pantera?

Metal fans have gone insane.

We’re all about the gear and nothing about the music. We watch more demos and listen to less music each passing year.

Might as well be the girl, in that case. At least she’ll be easy on the eyes

Point at someone who knows Ola for his music 😂
