Yeah.....bubble gum rock........
but they have some really kick ass songs that are FUN TO PLAY!!

Love them, though my mostly heavy metal social community laughs at me for it!

I think its funny when people bash a band who has had every single song on a record reach number one...

YES! Weezurr. I like them a good deal, but they're an occasional listen for me. I learned to play Buddy Holly a few weeks ago lol.

If you want bubblegum rock, look up All Time Low. Even just thinking about them brings back memories of first year of college.

Love the Blue Album. One of my favorites back in the day.

I love it when music has a sense of humor - and these cats do just that...

So yes, definitely like 'em :rawk:

Man.... when I saw this post title I was thinking of Hash Pipe... Excellent riff.

didn't a group of people offer the band some obscene amount of money recently to split up?

edit: here we go
http://www.fasterlouder.com.au/news/international/25793/Weezer-promises-to-break-up
Weezer drummer Patrick Wilson has offered to end the band’s faltering career, writing on Twitter that “If they can make it $20[million] We’ll do the ‘deluxe breakup’”.

The comment comes in response to an online petition calling on the band the suffering for long term fans of the band.

The campaign’s organiser James Burns explains that “Every year, Rivers Cuomo swears that he’s changed, and that their new album is the best thing that he’s done since Pinkerton, and what happens? Another pile of crap like Beverly Hills or I’m Your Daddy.”

“This is an abusive relationship, and it needs to stop now. I am tired of my friends being disappointed year after year. I am tired of endless whimsical cutesy album covers and music videos.”

As Burns helpfully points out: “If all 852,000 of you (really?) who bought Pinkerton pitch in $12, we will meet our goal.”

For his troubles Burns has received death threats and messages from disgruntled Weezer fans wishing that Burns would get AIDS. “I wish more of Weezer’s fans would have the same sense of humor,” he told the New York Times. “Quite honestly, I’m not expecting to raise the whole 10 million,” he said. “I’m not really expecting it to happen. I would be thrilled if it got up to like 10,000.”

The petition is still $9,999,794 shy of the $10 million target, so it looks like Weezer will still be around for a while yet – hey maybe they’ll stay together long enough to bring the Pinkerton tour to Australia.

In related news FasterLouder will also happily stop running news about Weezer for a payment of a mere $10 million dollars.

I'm a here and there fan, but always thought their tones were great for the songs they wrote. I especially love the wah pedal sound on the intro to a song, I always forget the title. Hold on, (googles Weezer), Perfect Situation.....

I asked on here and got the response it was just a standard crybaby....but the vocal-ness and feedback sound from it is just awesome. its how I picture a wah sounding in my head. But can't get anywhere close, lol.

Love em, altough I believe Rivers can be, urm, "difficult".

I think hes a genius though.

We just recorded a drunk ass version of HASH PIPE.........

video to follow......

Rock on everyone!!!

Big Weezer fan. Pinkerton and the Blue albums are by far my favorites.

I just picked up Hurley (deluxe edition) this week. Raditude was kind of disappointing, haven't listened to Hurley enough to really evaluate it.
