My first new good guitar was an '84 US Stealth.

Bottom line, the old US BC Rich's were great guitars. I haven't played a new one so I can't comment on those.
Old BC Rich's are da shit. Really hope to get one some day.

I had an NJ Series mockingbird in the late 80's. Loved that guitar!

I'm afraid of BC Rich guitars because I don't worship the devil. :D

THIS!!!!

But if I did I would have a whole fleet of them....they just look "metal" and I do want one like Pat O'Brian has in Corpse :scared:

Anyone got a picture of a 12 string super strat style BC Rich? I found a picture ages ago of one and always thought it looked evil as hell but I can't find it anywhere now

Here are some pics of mine.

Yngzaklynch I love that Blue Mockingbird I think its the first time I've seen it.

Here is my new custom shop Koa Mock. Its a damn nice guitar and definitely has its own vibe.

I custom odered it in 97. Took4-5 months to build. I paid just under 2 grand for it. Now it would go for over 5 grand. I had Neal Moser( BC Rich emploee and designer of the BC RIch Bich) refurb it a few years back. Its heavy but man is it sweet!!

Look how scared that strat looks behind it. You know it is hoping you'll spill some holy water on that BC Rich. :D

I figured the blue finish made it less evil???? Hmmmm maybe I should get my next one in Mary Kay white?

looks like the strat has a hot rail in the bridge so the BC Rich won't think its a giant wuss

and to rupe: that stealth is awesome

That Mockingbird is gorgeous. I always dug Mockingbirds and Bich's especially in a trans finish with beautiful woods like yours and Yngzaklynch's.

I had a hot rod flame Gunslinger back in like '87 or '88. I tried to replace my old Charvels with an ESP Mirage Deluxe but that wasn't cutting it tone-wise so I sold that and bought the Gunslinger. The thing played and felt great.

I've never played a BC Rich, but boy did I want an Iron Bird back in the day!!

The koa and walnut BC Richs are some of the classiest axes. The one rayneman has is very traditional. A lot of old BC Rich fans would probably look at it and say " now theres a real BC Rich". Yeah there are some differences from that one and say something built in 1982 but it has that same basic vibe going. Sweet axe for sure.

I love Mockingbirds. I really don't care for Kerry King's tribal V's they're ugly. But that doesn't mean I hate BC Richs!

Man, that's a great looking Mockingbird. I would love to have one like that, but they are not that comfortable for me. The cutaway doesn't give me enough room to get around.

Your guitar is great (among many ways) because you don't have all the preamp/active electronics going on.

I was so dead-set on getting active electronics on my guitar, but now I am not so sure. My guitar guy who soups-up all my guitars told me (and based on everything else he's done for me) that I should consider having him disable the electronics - without removing them, so the guitar would sound better. I tend to think this is a great option, since I've fooled around with the preamp and all the phase switches and whatnot, and I really don't think they are all that. Nearly all my other instruments have had their tone controls removed and volume pots replaced and they sound SO much more clear and have more gain (without any unwanted distortion). A "less is more" type of approach I guess.

I had a BC fuck me over and rip me off. I know it's wrong but now I am prejudice against all BC ? Them mockingbirds are just cool.

I love Mockingbirds, and there are some sweet ones shown, but I cant get past the headstocks on a lot of the other models. Ruins the whole guitar for me
