No way!!!

Those of you with the iPhone's - which one do you have 8 or 16 gig, and why? The mp3 isn't my main concern as I have a 120g ipod that hold everything song I have on it. But for apps, do they take up much space?

My music library is 138.97 gigs at the moment, and I have the 8 gig iPhone. My iPhone is jailbroken, so I'm not sure how big all my apps are, but the 8 gig model is fairly adequate. Obviously, I can't fit EVERYTHING I want, but can you imagine scrolling through that many playlists? It would take forever to find anything! Also, I got the 8 gig model since it was like $75 shipped. Apps are generally only a few megs or so. It really depends on the software.

ok,
define jailbroken for me :D

Jailbroken lets you run homebrew and "non-approved" Apple apps (along with other things). Unlocked means the phone can be run on any carrier, not just AT&T. My phone is just jailbroken, as I'm satisfied with my AT&T contract (for now). IMO, the iPhone is useless unless you jailbreak it, but my needs are generally a bit different than other people's.

In your situation, the iPhone would probably work out great. Personally, I hate the iPhone. I had the 16 gig 3G version for a month, sold it and bought another Blackberry.

Thanks for the info. There's so much stuff to know with this stuff. Its mind boggling to me and confusing what to get, what to do, what's not a good idea to do, etc, etc.

make your own cable dammit
I used - old pair of busted headphones + acoustic guitar output jack
check it out
