But Greenbacks worked well. The guy that sold me my Traditional cab told me it had "Celestions" in it. I assumed wrong, but rocked the GBs for a while anyways.

I have been liking the Karnivores lately, but others I have liked are Swamp Thangs, G12-T75s, and GK-100s.

I've never opened my Trad cab. Still factory sealed purchased new from a dealer in 2007. Been driving those V30s hard for a while now. They sound great.
But if I were to load one with other speakers I'd use Texas Heats, just because I've been running a 2nd cab with my Trad cab that has them and they sound great.

My favorite combo in any cab is Mesa V30s in an X-Pattern with G-12H 75W Creambacks. It just sounds great. The Creambacks tame the harshness of the V30s while still keeping the cab percussive with the palm mutes. I'd do this in every cab if speakers weren't so dang expensive.

Mesa 16 ohm V30’s might be bitchin, in Series/Parallel like old school Marshall.

I can’t believe no one at Gibson thought of that yet. A S/P wired T4416 equipped Mesa trad would shit all over a Marshall 1960 Vintage.

Yes, I've got my Engl Pro 4x12 loaded with 2x V30 and 2x G12K85 (the predecessor of the G12K100); smooths a bit of the highs, broadens the mids and adds thump. Also had that combo in a 2x12 that I sold, to make room for something else.

Otherwise, I second the (vented) serif font label T75's and G12-65's. My 2x12 Mesa vertical gigging cab has a Mesa V30 bottom and G12-65 on top.
Both cabs on 1 pic when I did a shoot-out with a buddy who brought his Savage SE and JVM.

If you get T75's, make sure they have the same type of label as both versions on the 2nd pic. The later ones are scooped, fizzy, not that great really.

There's a million options, it seriously just depends on the rest of your rig.

I would probably do 12Ls and Redbacks in an X, or 75s and Greenbacks/blackbacks in an X or something like that
