I’ve never cared . Does a guitar sound good and play good with my amps . Idk anything about woods on Ibanez or gibsons I have . Or fender

Build and swap necks and bodys on Partscasters if you believe wood type and quality make no difference. I can assure you it all matters and sometimes unexpected combinations can work great, but the standard choices are most common for good reason. Because certain combinations of neck, body and fingerboard wood just work together. Also acale length, pickups, pickup placement in regards to bridge, bridge type and method of attachment all play a role in a complex recipe that becomes tone, timbre and sustain.and getting all parts in harmony is when a keeper is made.
