You guys know I'm a metal dude right?

This amp has made me a happy metal player! Far exceeded my expectations. This is not boosted, meaning no pedal in front and I'm not using the "boost" feature. Amp has gain for days. It's clear and articulate. Big bottom end. It's like the perfect Uberschall to me.

Very pleased with this Bogner.

Man that sounds great! Am I correct that earlier version Shivas wouldn't do this, at least not without a boost?

Thanks for checking it out bro!

I'm not a 100% sure but I think the older el34 models don't get this brutal. Maybe I'm wrong? :dunno:

Nope, IMHO they should drop the standard Shiva and just make the 20th as the standard.

Holy shit!!!!! If you told me that was an Uberschall i would have believed you. That sounds f'n great!!!

Thanks for checking it out bro! I had no idea it could do this until I bought it.

Yeah man it did it alright. That is one kick ass amp. Seriously!!!!

They can do it all, with that very full EQ from the KT88s.

What Pickups are in the SG?

Fishman Fluence Modern in the bridge and a classic in the neck. The clip is all modern. Mean ass pickups.

I've never heard a Shiva get that heavy before, that's for sure haha! Nice job as always, duder.

Question: when you use your subs, is there some kind of crossover sending the lows from the amp to the sub and just the mids and highs to the guitar cab? Or do the full range of frequencies still go to the cab?

Thank you my friend!

The sub has a built in crossover to send just the lows to the sub and the mid/high frequencies to your cab. I don't use it that way. I actually prefer full frequencies to my cab. The sub is adjustable so you can dial it up or down.

Interesting. How different is the sound when the guitar cab isn't seeing the lows? I would think the speakers might hold together even more at volume when they aren't having to deal with the low end? Or does it sound weird? Like hollow?

It sounds weird to me. Like not punchy enough. The lows do something to the speaker that I just like. :dunno:

I still can't get over how badass this thing sounds un-boosted. \m/
