We were all baptized into russian orthodoxy about a year ago so we are fairly new to everything. My son is devout so he's going to trial that monastic life. Any time you go big for orthdoxy the demons attack like angry bees to ward you away from the truth. My wife is having a particularly hard time with it right now.I would love to get some background on how this came to be because it's the first time I ever hear of something like that taking all into consideration but at the same time I feel bad that you're going through difficulties.
If it helps in any way, in my country there are many monasteries. I visited a bunch of them and the people there are great and welcoming and just normal people who dedicate their time to serving fellow people.. At the same time they are not absolutely ascetic or out of touch with the rest of the world in any way for better or worse.
This is your moment to deliver! Wish my kids were young again. I think I've entered the downhill portion of my life.I was raised Episcopal and vaguely remember some of the stuff from Sunday School
Our church was pretty chill. Even 30 years ago or so our rector was a gay man. We had a massive old school church organ and the organist was apparently world renowned in church organ circles so it was dope to hear him play. This is your moment to deliver! Orthodoxy is the best kept secret in the United States. Never let your Romanian Orthodox faith go! I believe Father Seraphim from the Mull Monastery channel is Romanian. It must be a blessing to have so many orthodox churches and monasteries in your area. There is actually a Greek monastery here in Texas a few miles down the road at Holy Arcangels out past Blanco, There is a Romanian orthodox church in San Antonio. But nothing like a nation that is historically Orthodox like Romania.I'm Romanian. The country is vastly Orthodox via tradition and culture and most people identify as that but there's no longer a culture of actually studying it in school or at home. People will still pray and go to Church (from time to time) but it's not a mainly religiously practicant country anymore. Communism didn't help either. IIRC religion is now an optional course in school but 20 years ago it was not optional.
I see you have a PHD In Redditology. Good for you, my man.
He's right
Barely and for not much longer. It’s a free country, man.
Do you feel that anyone here put you down for believing in what you believe? Also if you don't believe that your God is God do you actually follow your religion?
Besides, science is just us, measly humans, (poorly) trying to understand things which are vastly out of our power of understanding and perception.
Science existed 100 years ago too. If you would follow the science from 100 years ago everybody would think you're a Neanderthal.
One thing is very very clear , we have a lot of disbelievers here and that's unfortunate but it does explain why people like Jdel , Tranny, Stripped anus , beater , paulyc etc.. are the way they are .
You mean science like get the jab and no more covid type science .
Wait a minute ha ha ha ha haScience never stated that vaccinations would eradicate Covid.
Fuck me running mate, are you that thick?
OMG , i'm saving this one . Stripped Anus wants everybody to know HE'S WOKE HA HA HA HA HA
Ha ha ha ha haLet’s be clear.
People who don’t believe in something that cannot be proven are not disbelievers.
We are normal.
We use critical thinking to figure out, that at a basic level, the onus is on you to prove the existence of XYZ.
Not for us to prove it doesn’t exist.
Now please, read that back multiple times until the penny drops.
