I bought an old 85 300ZX years ago and it had a few cassettes left in it. This album was one of them. I listened to this album quite a bit. Sucks about Tim Kelly. Mark had a killer voice.

Right after high school, I installed a loud rock stereo in my car (who didn't back then?) I used this CD to test it. Holy hell, the production quality made this CD just f'ing RIP. That opening song "Eye to Eye" would sound MASSIVE.

Memories. I think it was 2nd grade I got the scorching heaviness of Bon Jovi’s “Slippery when Wet” for Xmas . . . And the boombox with a tape deck.

If someone told me I wasn’t cool, they would have been struck by lightning LOL.

Eventually started looking at my Dad’s record albums. All the LZ, Cream, Hendrix, every old prog band you could imagine (Dad still playing guitar @ almost 80).

Man that illustrates the gift of music so well. Songs that aren’t even something you’d normally listen to can have this power tied to them.

Definitely can remind you of a time, place, person. The special part is that music can emotionally put you right back there. You can smell the grass, feel the confidence and insecurity of that time in life. Even the butterflies that we just don’t get anymore.

Crazy, some of my favorite music, I have to be in a certain mind frame to listen too. It will emotionally put you right back there, and in my case, I may not always be in a place I’m mentally prepared to go.

But when the time is right, it’s magic.

Thanks brother. It really is awesome to share guitar playing, or playing music in general with family.

My dad still does this same Dorian alternate picked lick that he’s always done. He knows I hate it because it’s so pre cocked/pattern oriented haha. But now, if we get to jam and he does that lick (always LOL) we both just chuckle.

I love the production also. Some great songs, these guys were REAL Pussymelters, more than Steel Panther by far. Man, how I loved how the OG metal chicks got turned on by these concerts (yah, I went to a few of this type just for them.....but now I can appreciate the music itself more, well played)!
