mark is the undisputed king of vh tone in the amp world, imo. and the fact that he can play and record vh riffs perfectly provides the ideal marketing tool for his mods. he R I P S.
Agree ... nails it.

Myself I like the AC/DC, early Black Sabbath and several others when it comes to 70's rock guitar sounds...

Early hungry Eddie

another strange similarity is that your hands look like eddies in that tone port clip

your vibrato is awesome--I wish I had that type of vibrato

thanks man!

you think they do? hmmmm

Yeah, Mark has sick skills. He can play ed of story ad i wish i had chops like that. Two questions though:

How warm is the super distortion? Lately I seem to be digging some of my dimarzio's more and more and i swore I was a duncan guy. The air classic bridge that i have in the neck of my super strat is pretty ice i must say. Gives me a fat sigle coil tone for fast runs and i really like it.

Secod question, I know Angus must have driven his amps hard with a hot pup, what is the consensus on what he used? Hot gibson stock pups or somethig close to a super distortion?

wow....sounds sooooo good and "woody"....i honestly listened to that 5 times just because of the tone, and couldn't find a damned bad sounding thing about it....even the reverb was killer and fit perfect. that just might be the "perfect" tone in my book. holy shite!

Thanks Mark, that would explain how it can be used with really bright guitars, i also have an air zone which was way too thick and warm for my one strat so maybe this type of eq'ing is needed in a brighter guitar which is why we hear some folks liking the 59' or Paf Pro while others swear by the distortions. Maybe Ed swapped his pickups based on how bright he felt the guitar was..
