Looks like you control the EQ through the LCD screen:sick:

Something that should be instantly available for fast adjustment now requires a screen and menu navigation. That's exactly what we all want in a tube amp, right?

If only there was some kind of format that would have given them more real estate on the chassis to put a physical 6-band EQ.

edit: the counter argument to this is "many EQ curves can be saved in presets" but the counter counter is "there are already a bunch of EQ units with presets you could put in any effects loop that do that, and who wouldn't rather have one of those over the specific digital EQ married into this tube amp?"

New from Red Seven.

Where are people getting NAMM updates from? I'm realizing a few videos I'm seeing on YouTube are technically NAMM releases

I think the Friedman IR Load looks interesting, but $1500? That's too expensive for a loadbox, I think, but so is everything else these days.

The Quad Cortex Mini also looks promising, but I'm hoping to snag another unit by the end of the year if possible. Traded the old one for a MKIV with no regrets. Been reading that the product is now looking like it is finally finished, so good for Neural DSP.'

The RedSeven amp... Just 15 watts? Hard pass.

I’m holding my breath in the Wampler and Friedman poweramps, but I am incredibly curious about them. The pedal version would be most practical for me. I have three load boxes at the moment, each has flaws. I’d like to think Friedman knocked this one out of the park and could be ‘the one’. The price tag is steep though.

I am 100% going to buy the Bad Cat Hot Cat 50 Mod Shop. I can’t pony that up right now though, so hopefully it’s not a limited release. There was also some sort of analog cab sim/maybe a load box teased in Bad Cat’s video for the Hot Cat that I’m waiting for news about. I’ve been wanting to see companies push and develop better analog cabinet simulation rather than all this IR nonsense. I use IRs daily but there’s something satisfying about an entirely analog signal chain from guitar to ears.

Cant find the specifics anymore...
Redseven is releasing another. Iirc 100 watt or so single channel. Some Australian guitarist has something to do with it.

I skimmed. It looked neat but redseven doesnt seem like my jam.

Don't forget though, it also has built in attenuation. So it is like adding features to the Two Notes ReloadII. When you use it as a load, you are getting AI assisted power amp modelling which makes this thing essentially cover everything for you. Has IR's too where the ReloadII doesn't host IR's and doesn't model power amp. The ReloadII is 1,099 $ USD so I don't think it is too far off the mark given what it does. I give them credit for trying to provide everything under one roof.

Off topic from the thread but admittedly, I never looked into the brand before until I saw Ola's video of this amp. I thought it sounded pretty amazing so I started going down the Bad Cat rabbit hole.

Discovered the Lynx. Not many "metal" videos out there (which is what I play) from either amp but from what is available to hear online I thought I liked the Lynx better given the lower mid emphasis vs the more trebly Hot Cat 50.

Of course, different players, different settings, youtube production, etc. Who really knows but I saw a New Lynx from the Reverb outlet for a pretty decent price, should be here Tuesday 😀 couldn't resist.

I don't have buyers remorse at all but I do start to wonder maybe I do need to suck it up and try a more trebly type of amp instead of the tone I prefer. Cutting in the band is a problem sometimes for me unless I want to make everyone's ears bleed.

My only hang up on these amps, which didnt stop me from the purchase was them being 50w. Ive had a few killer 50w amps but they all seem to fall apart at the volume I need for rehearsal with the band. The room we are in now is much smaller so I do have high hopes.

I tried to understand what the hell it is but i'm a dumbass. Anytime I read things like "this allows you to tap into the tones by vectoring the channels and incorporating a top turn of...", etc., it loses me.

Tell me what the heck it is,.lol. The Wampler looks cool.

For a sec a few years ago Brent hinds was playing an esp that was mosrite shaped with a jazzmaster trem. I was really hoping to see these hit the market some time. Guess not this year.
