Imagine that: aproximately 76% of Albertans are not retarded. They voted to stay in Canada.

Good evening Mike. Why is it retarded when someone is no longer happy with their home nation? North America seems like a pile of crap as a whole lately IMO.Imagine that: aproximately 76% of Albertans are not retarded. They voted to stay in Canada.

What does the US have to do with this?Good evening.
In my opinion: Traitors can fuck right off. Period.
Edit: They should leave Canada, and see how the US treats them, maybe everyone will be happy?
So going through the proper legal channels to extricate your state/province from the country it is currently a part of is being a traitor? Seems like an extreme viewpoint. An actual traitor would take up arms and kill a bunch of the people who opposed the separation, not hold a referendum. In my opinion: Traitors can fuck right off. Period.
The claims of treason were made because the separatists met with representatives of the American government to make promises and seek help with breaking up our country. While it may not rise to the level of criminal treason, it is certainly moral treason. Widely seen as underhanded and, well, treasonous. So going through the proper legal channels to extricate your state/province from the country it is currently a part of is being a traitor? Thanks JD, that makes some sense. Still, it doesn't appear there was anything actually criminal going on. If Maine wanted to leave the USA for Canada I think most of the US would say don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. Seems like Mike is having difficulty wrapping his head around the idea that someone in Canada could be dissatisfied with their government. It's more equivalent to 5 states leaving together (about 10% of your country). And one of them is TexasThanks JD, that makes some sense. I wouldn't really give a crap tbh. Texas sucks. It's more equivalent to 5 states leaving together (about 10% of your country). And one of them is TexasAnyway, not an issue anymore as they've been decisively spanked.
That's because your band was the only thing happening in town that wasn't top 40 bro country bullshit. It's like playing in Baudette MN. Even if you suck you'll be well received.I dunno, I played in Lubbock and Amarillo and the people there seemed nice...
Definitely not, we were metal AFThat's because your band was the only thing happening in town that wasn't top 40 bro country bullshit. It's like playing in Baudette MN. Even if you suck you'll be well received.![]()
Reminds me of the time I did a gig in Grafton, ND. Most of the people in the crowd didn't even look at the stage, they were just happy to have something to do.It's like playing in Baudette MN. Even if you suck you'll be well received.

I have a friend in Lubbock that loves metal. If you tour down there again I'll send him your way. I tried to warn him about moving there but he takes advice about as well as The-Kid.Definitely not, we were metal AF![]()
Haha, I was thinking about you when I posted that. It holds true in a lot of those small towns. I still remember playing "The Other Place" in Park Rapids, beat the hell out of gigging in Shitmidji.Reminds me of the time I did a gig in Grafton, ND. Or the Rusty Nail in Thief River Falls, MN. I never played there but did live in TRF for a year while in tech school. At the time I was warned to not step foot in the bar because "you have long hair and will get beat up".Haha, I was thinking about you when I posted that. It holds true in a lot of those small towns. That held true for just about every bar in northern MN during the 90's.Or the Rusty Nail in Thief River Falls, MN. I never played there but did live in TRF for a year while in tech school. At the time I was warned to not step foot in the bar because "you have long hair and will get beat up".

Never played a gig in Shitmidget, just went sledding and stood in awe of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox.Shitmidji is the only place I ever had a bottle chucked at me though. I used to party with the guy that threw it.![]()
You didn't miss much. The waterfront there used to be fun during the July 4th celebration but the city decided to put a mosquito breeding pond there and moved the carnival across town so the geese could turn the hillside down to the lake into a birdshit covered slip and slide.Never played a gig in Shitmidget, just went sledding and stood in awe of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox.
