Thank you for the kind words! As requested, here are some Gemini build pics: (sorry, no dick pics.....this time)

Note that not all of these are necessarily Heritage Softail's build -- they all essentially look the same, plus I don't have pics of EVERY step of EVERY amp... :D

These are actually Colossus head shells gluing up, but you get the idea I'm sure. :)

Seriously thinking about a Gemini. What is the cost on these?

Thanks or posting Kyle.

The amp passed the test for early morning practicing. As any other amp, it does breathe more fire when up above TV volumes.

I can see the level of options will keep things interesting for a while. The Bright and Fat switches make significant changes.

Still amazed at ch 1.

Very Clean looking inside. Good looking amp

Thanks for posting the build pics

Congrats on the new amp. These amps really do it all. So what kind of power tube section did you go with on the amp?

PMing you now.

Could you sent me a ballpark figure as well?

How do Marshall players respond to this amp? I was actually thinking of getting a hod-rodded Marshall, but it's not so easy to find one that has great cleans and can do serious metal (like a slightly heavier PT-100 for instance).

That is great! +2 on the direct communication with the builder. Scott Splawn picks up the phone at his shop and is really genuine and speaks to you like a human being, not making you feel like an asshole for calling. !

I can 2nd this Todd.. my guitar player plays a quickrod and was having some issues... everytime he's called, Scott talked to him, offered advice, took his time explaining, etc...

You were right. absolutely nailed it. Kyle has built what Boogie wanted the MKV to be. i owned a MKV for a year and sold it. it was almost great.

this one has 6L6 for now. I have 2 quads of EL34's laying around. A set of JJ's and SED =C=. Rightp now I like an old Magnavox 12AX7 in V1, will rolls Mullard and Jan Phillips too. In a month I may roll the EL's. lots of settings to bond with at the moment.

The idea of having an amp you can tailor to play Dire Straits on Ch 1 and get that Mullard clean to ethn run a nasty preamp tube set in V2 and V3 for crunch and lead is great. Over the weekend I will run it wet dry and feel the full anger of this thing. The gain voicing is just pissed off on the Collosus mode.

Someone else said it was like having a bit of a Mark series amp and Recto amp in one. I agree so far. In a month I should have I dialed in and jotted down in my notebook, and of course saved in the midi footswitch.

Uh oh... I'm doing that "thing" where I start telling myself I would be a better player, more complete, happier, if I had one of these amps :scared:

Amp looks cool and love the clips I have heard from the Rhodes amps for sure!!

I always say that if Metallica's tone just kept getting better from Master of Puppets you would arrive at Rhodes!

This thread is killer too!

I guess when the time comes I'll have to start my own thread too!

lots of killer pics here!

Bump for an amp made in the 21st century. This celebration around this NAD should not be ruined by stale-dated Metallica threads. I forbid it!

OP: congrats on the Gemini and welcome to the Rhodes club! BTW what speakers/cab are you using?

Kyle, nice gut shot pics, very cleanly done layout!
