:) I got my Wizard in late yesterday afternoon at work. I took it home and unboxed it last nite. I do have one question,
Where is the damn handle that goes on the top that ya pick it up with?
Fire her up man, would like to hear your opinion.

:hys: Well guys, I had a ton of thigns to get done before I finally got into the studio and sat the Wizard on the 1st of the speaker cabs and plugged her in. I picked out a les-paul, it has alnico II pro pups in it, and tuned it and turned it on, ohms set, controls set to JJb's posted settings over in the wizard forum and man.... :dunno: I was not smiling. Not at all. I had a moment and re-checked my guitar tuning, then tried it again.... :dunno: DUDE? WTF?
So I switched off or on stand-by then off and tried Super unknown's settings.. Played it again. :bash: Freakin hell????? So I cut it to stand by and plugged it into another cab. The 1st cab I had re-issue greenback celestions in it. Wired vintage and with the old 16 ohm mono plug. It is the only cab I have left in a straight 4/12 like it. I actually have the plate/jack assembly and supplies to step it up.
Anyway, I just played it with the 2nd cab, alos a straight 4/12 cab only it has an x-pattern of scumback speakers in it. m-75 and h-75 65 watters, h-30 and greenback equivalent or around about this comparision. FINALLY! I gotta run . gotta go back and play this aome more. But I do not know if anyone else tried the Wizard with the re-issue greenbacks but I Fk.n hate that combination.
Maybe I gotta something screwy with this one cab? I will open it up and rework it tomorrow nite anyways. STAY TUNED! P.S...... these amps are LOUD! did I say LOUD?

I gotta call Bullshit on my 1st cab. Just played a few other amps through it and it just sounds dark and muddy compared to other cabs in the room .Will opene it up tomorrow nite and gut it and set out to change all inside. That is all....for now. Except now I gotta buy some more Fk.n speakers.. Fk me running this guitar playing is costly as Hell.

Looks great! I dig the logo and the classic plexi style faceplate.

 Thanks. I just learned a few more things with the Wizard amp. I had been playing a Slash goldtop les-paul with alnico pro-II pups. I talked with josh Sage on the phone twice and he gave me a great bit of insight on two things , control settings that got me right to where I needed to be and that I needed to try a different set of pups. WA!LA! I went and got me a 59 historic that has a set of rio grande pups in it. BBQ in the bridge and texas in the neck. Oh, Fk yes! Footnote to self I will need to change the Alnico pro II's outta those slash pauls I got ..Anybody got pup recommendations? I have never tried the Aldrich pups?

killer amp,bro!!!!!!!!!!!

looks like you got everything happening for ya in 2010...new amp,new avatar pic,new "lowercase" lettered username  we'll have to rename ya "joe friggin cool"

maybe. I got Brad to fix my user name. I never did figure out why all the letters came up bold. Kinda like that 1 to 3rd jazz guitar lesson.  Something made it work that way but it would take time to figure out.
So, I am in the play the amp through all the different cabs and speakers and even guitars with different pups and see what works and what don't for me. Mucho shoot out type playing going on in this sleepy little town for the next 24 to 48 hours.  I will however really miss all those crate 1/12 combo's :lame: stacked up that gave such a KILLER wall of... err.. Tone? :hys: :jerkit: :hys:
