Any amp modders in europe that could do something like Jose?

Dan Gower and Henrik Hermansson. Gower is more towards the Jose, Aldrich circuits and does amazing work...love his amps. Henrik's work sounds really tasty as well and he does different amp platforms as well... Mesa, Marshall, Simms-Watts, etc. I would love to grab a Gower Rockmonster or Hermansson Simms-Watts if it was more feasible in the states.

IIRC wasn't Gower basically Fortin's Discipline? At least i've read something like that somewhere..

Yes... Dan gained a lot of knowledge and experience from Mike Fortin over his earlier years. More recently he has been adding his own flavor and feel based on the tones he likes and knows... and the progress sounds incredible. You really can't wrong with a Gower.... I have yet to hear a bad one... and my Killer Kali++ was my favorite amp out of the hundreds(many boutiques) that I ever owned... never should of let it go.

In Italy you can find the guy from BRBS amps, he worked with Marshalls all life and mods are his speciality.

If i have enough trouble changing strings on a guitar then i'm not gonna venture into modding or building amps.. :s

It's more than just diodes... The modders/builders do much more than adding diodes and/or clipping circuits. No need to go into all the details... but rest assured, there is much more going on in a jose mod than just adding diodes.

It's more than just diodes... The modders/builders do much more than adding diodes and/or clipping circuits. No need to go into all the details... but rest assured, there is much more going on in a jose mod than just adding diodes.

Besides, when there's as amazing modder as Dan in EU, i don't see the need to fiddle with the amp yourself. Also money for me is a smaller problem than me modifying amps.

I have no first hand experience of Dan's work but the mods Henric Hermansson do are top notch. He can do different José versions as well as his own designs. I can't really recomend him enough. He would be my first option in Europe...
