MATTHEW Chapter 6 Verses 19 thru 21:

19 - Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 - But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 - For where your treasure is, there your heart will also be.

God gave us all the gift of "freewill". We will reap the consequences of our actions.
I doubt God is concerned with which "guitar we buy". We do things in this world to amuse ourselves, and pass the time.
But the more important issue is: what is happening in the world, and what will happen to you when you die.
You may not care about any of this right now, but there will come a time when you WILL.

"God" tells my ex to do crazy stuff all the time. Her mom's certified schizo, and I believe that my ex inherited that trait from her mother. But she'll swear that the crazy voices in her head are God.

P.S. I was raised in a religious, regular church-attending family. So I'm not poking fun at people of faith here. But it's amazing how many people convince themselves that their personal CHOICES (good and bad) were because a higher-power told them to do it. I used to do that to. I'm more self-aware now. My choices are many times for selfish reasons and lying to myself about their genesis doesn't change that fact. I do make selfless choices for love of family as well. But I make them because I love them and want to express that love. Not because someone's pulling my puppet strings.

Wow. Way to put a simplified satanic spin on the whole concept!
One of the devil's favorite tricks is to use God's Word to confuse people.

How about I put a different spin on what you just said:

God created man. Man sinned. God told man not to sin. Man sinned anyway. God told man he would have to atone for his sins.
Man sinned more. Patient, loving God allowed man to sin for a very long time, then finally grew tired of all the "sin and punishment",
since it was obvious man was not going to ever LEARN from his sins. So loving patient GOD created a NEW COVENANT for man.
God sent His only Son to our world, so that He could show and teach us a better way to live. God knew full well man would never
be able to avoid sin, so He sent His only Son JESUS CHRIST to PAY for OUR sins. "People" did not declare Jesus a heretic and crucify Him.
The Pharisees and the Sadducees ( the CHURCH ) of the time did not want to relinquish their power and authority over the masses, and
they saw JESUS as a threat. They rallied their brainwashed followers into turning against Jesus. They demanded the Roman ruler
arrest Jesus. The Roman Pontius Pilate even had to admit, he found no guilt or crime with Jesus. Pilate had to "wash his hands" of it.
The church and it's followers were asked, did they want to let Barabbus go, or let Jesus go. Barabbas was a known guilty criminal.
The crowd demanded Barabbas be set free, and Jesus be crucified.
So it was not "people" who rejected JESUS, just a certain "group" of influential people of the time. Lots of people were deeply saddened
at what was happening to JESUS. People who believed the teachings of Christ. People who were healed by Christ.
JESUS willingly accepted His divine fate, and went to the cross.
WHY? To PAY FOR THE SINS OF THE WORLD. Jesus was not destroyed! After 3 days, HE was RISEN. JESUS LIVES.
And ALL who believe in the Lord JESUS will have everlasting life in God's kingdom. GOD loves us enough that He sent JESUS to pay
the price of SIN for us. All WE have to do.... is accept this gift. The free gift of LIFE. Or not. Perish if that is what you prefer.
GOD does not force anyone to choose Jesus. We have the gift of "freewill". The choice is up to us.
HELL was not created for man. HELL was created for the devil and the fallen angels. ( demons )
But if people want to worship the devil instead of GOD.... then people can JOIN their master the devil when the hammer of reckoning
comes down upon the world.

So the way I see it, GOD created the perfect system. It's free for all. It's EQUAL for all.
Nobody can "earn" their way in, lest they boast about it once they arrive. EVERYONE gets in the same way.
That way is JESUS. If GOD was an angry, vengeful, mean GOD... HE would have just wiped us all out eons ago! But He did not.
So there must be a higher purpose here.

The answer is: SIN ALWAYS HAS CONSEQUENCES. Consequences that we do not want to have to face.
GOD would rather spare us the pain and suffering of consequences of SIN. It is sad for God to watch man sin,
and suffer because of the sins.
Atheists call it "karma". You do bad things to people, bad things will happen to you in return.
This is actually SIN. You SIN.... you reap CONSEQUENCES.

This whole thing is all about "actions" and "consequences". GOD tried for eons to teach man to understand this.
But that whole "freewill" thing..... it complicates things!
GOD does not want an army of robots. HE created us in His image. And what do we seek to do? CREATE.
Or DESTROY. Some of us make music. Some of us make weapons.

Deep subject. Are you ready to go down the rabbit hole? Most people have a tough time with it.

I voted for TRUMP. The thought of Hillary back in the White House made me sick to my stomach.
Trump is not perfect. And he won't be able to do much of what he says he wants to do.
But the Clintons are career criminals. TRUMP is guilty of being an arrogant rich dude.
Hillary has a list of crimes a mile long. Big difference.

TRUMP talks about securing our borders, bringing back jobs, ending NAFTA, re-negotiating
all the one-sided trade deals with countries like China, and he is a friend of the NRA, so
you know our Second Amendment will be safe under Trump. I'm all for it.

What also needs to happen is: DRAIN THE SWAMP.
Washington DC is a cess-pool of corruption, career politicians, and "pay-to-play" scams.
Corporate lobbyists run Washington DC through bribes. The shadow government "deep state"
pulls the puppet strings. Can Trump fight all of this on his own? Nope.
He will end up like JFK if he digs too deep.
And then we have our own little personal ambassador to ISRAEL.... Jared Kushner.
Don't get me started on the "zionist problem".

Well... that is always a good point. And a fair question.
The only thing I have been able to come up with so far is, it goes back to "freewill".
God creates beings, and beings multiply. These beings have freewill. They choose to
be a part of the universe, or they choose to rebel against it.

Satan coveted the power of creation. That was his downfall. He took a large portion of the
angels with him. But God is in control, and God always has a plan to deal with everything.
So we trust in God's plan, and live one day at a time.

OR... we choose to also rebel. Which sadly, so many do.

I know we are not supposed to talk about "religion or politics"... but someone posted about it,
and then others had questions and comments. So I felt I needed to try and clarify a few things.

I am not trying to offend anyone. I am simply stating what I believe.
As I said from the very beginning, we all have the gift of "freewill". We all have to make the choice
for ourselves.

If a moderator wants to delete this thread... it is their choice to do so.
( But I would hope not, since I enjoy talking about these subjects. )
