Anyone make guitar amps out of old tube record player amps?

I have an old (late 50’s most likely) console record player/radio that doesn’t work. The record player doesn’t turn. I did put Dokken Tooth and Nail on and spun it by hand and it amplified the music. So the amp kinda works, but it looks all original so probably not safe to try again.
I’m gonna take out the record player and put in a modern unit, keep the radio cause it looks cool and probably put some bookshelf speakers in the cabinet. So I was thinking maybe one of you guys turned these amps into guitar amps.
Or is that more of a Tan Pants / TGP thing?

1. My grandma had one like that
2. Looking forward to the end result
3. Guitar amps started as P.A.s so I'm guessing no
4. I hope I'm wrong
5. Tooth and Nail is Dokken's best album
6. Profit
