There aren’t two 2203x models. You might be confused with they use Vietnamese transformers in the UK amp.

Yeah, I read further into the thread on the Marshall form and it looks like it was a mistaken price and they did cancel everything.

I'm sure for many these options are close enough but for others the real deal is an icon for a reason. If you haven't been plugged into a real 800 doing its thing at pants flapping volume you probably can't understand.

Given an option would be happier with either a Bad Cat or a Friedman..... Your just getting a better amp all around that does it better, probably better Built too and better Quality than an original one.


Made/Built in the USA/America too.

I aint blasting some obsolete amp to 10 with an SD1 and a Klon to get a decent sound.....


I'm using a modern amp, that is better, Built better, sounds better and more practical, Built and Made in the States too......

Even though I think they’re incredibly overpriced, I played one recently in a GC in the Plat room, so I could turn it up a bit and damn if it didn’t sound really good.
I’ve also over the years played quite a few OG’s from vertical to horizontal input models that sounded not nearly as good, as well as great, themselves.
A circuit is a circuit and if tolerances and voltages are correct, from cheap to expensive has a shot at sounding how you would like.
Then you just decide what matters to you about craftsmanship, reliability etc.
Plenty of cheaply made amps around still kicking, trouble free, for decades.

There are few legacy or Legendary amps I talk shit on but yeah asíde from SilverFace vintage amps or modern or vintage JCM800s......

It's just a sham.....


And its just a load of Hype and nonsense..... Why Buy over priced, overseas junk from Marshall...... When Bad Cat or Friedman offers better amps, that sound better and are Built and Made better here in America/USA and the States
