Are Mesa 4x12 Cabs Sealed?

Just took the back off. No gasket on the rear panel. There is a very thin tolex-ish "gasket" material on the jack plate and side handles. But not the back panel. The panel popped itself off when I took all the screws out. No fuss.

I'm going to first try rewiring the cab like my Bogner cabs. I have a new jack plate as well with a single jack hole.

Then I'll swap in some new speakers (DV77).

Mine came off easy enough. There was some weatherstripping type material in there. But the came off. It is sealed pretty well though, the speaker cable will pop out if the amp is turned up enough. You can see it in the picture.

What specific cab is this? Because mine doesn't look anything like yours.

What do those Fane DV77 sound like? Is this a type of V30 derivative?

The DV77 are dark but they have a very woody tone and a solid low end response. Sounded really good with a boosted recto to my ears. They paired extremely with V30s.

Ah those are two different speakers. The DV77s are made by Eminence and the Fanes are Mamzers. The DV77s sound kinda like a more open V30 with a less pronounced top end and more lower-mid push, the low end has a sort of knock/thump to it, and the mid range is more ferocious. The Fanes are similar, but with more of a mid-to-upper-mid emphasis. Even more open sounding.
