I heard about this a few days ago. I am more concerned about the tick thing, but this is disgusting.
I had a friend in high school who did get some kind of weird fleshing eating bacteria on his neck. He had a strawberry birthmark and for some reason, it was attacking that area. It didn't progress much at all, fortunately. He's totally fine now.
