The Chinese roofers are mostly garbage; seen one nasty wind storm with thousands of damaged houses in Oakville years back where they were originally installed by Chinese crews. All the local roofers were kept busy all year after that storm.

The Chinese interlocking brick is another story. I've watched those guys show up with a dozen on a crew where they lift and relay entire driveways in hours. 2000 sq feet in about 5 hours start to finish.

Best Chinese dish is Almond Soo Guy.

Actually Geo the guy I sold my construction business to who was also the guitarist/singer in my band is half Japanese. He’s done many roofs with me. And siding, windows, decks, room additions, garage doors and bar brawls.

You can program a robot with AI. You don’t fucking need to be a roofer to program a robot to roof.

They were mostly causation. I fixed roofing mailers like the Bostich N12's and shingle hoists and such.

You just haven't been culturally enriched with enough diversity yet. Markham is a city of about 350,000 and is about 50% Chinese. Toronto is about 3.5 million and about 10% Chinese. Any of the other surrounding cities have Chinese populations but not as concentrated. Then there's the Indians and all the other minorities too.

Do you know the book series Where's Waldo? We use to play Where's Whitey? We'd see how long it takes to find a white guy in those areas. Somedays we'd be working there all day and never seen a white person.
