Home improvement content. Not a Hobbie that's for sure. Thanks to @Floyd Eye for getting me in touch with Contractor #1.

About 2 years ago the bedroom in our basement started to flood during heavy rain. It was coming up under the outside door frame. We tried everything. We have been here 20+ years with no issues. It is part of an addition so is not connected to the main drain/sump pump. So we ended up getting a separate french drain/sump pump just for this room. Big pain in the ass but glad it is done. Kids are gone and we already have 4 bedrooms so we turned this into a bonus room or she shack as the wif likes to call it.

Contractor #2: Removal of old cabinets and drywall. Install new cabinets and drywall/shiplap.
Contractor #3: French Drain and sump pump.
Contractor #4: Paint and touch ups.

Ayyone else have similar

Hopefully it won't freeze. IDK where you live but the northeast frostline is 48 to 60 inches.
Midwestern is 36 to 48 inch. Most are 3 to 5 feet.
If you paid for building permits & it was inspected and up to code should be okay.
If you did everything under the table w/ the guy smoking Camels & drinking sports drinks likely gonna have issues.

When i lived in the Northeast, frost line was 36"

I live about 26 miles south of you. All the work was done by professional bonded contractors including Woods Basement Systems. The water that collects in the internal french drain won't be frozen because it is inside the house just below the floor. Likewise, the sump pump and basin should not freeze either. Once pumped to the outside the drain pipe has a decent enough slope. The only time the pump should even turn on is if there is significant water being drained to the sump. Hopefully that water is 32 degrees or higher. If I have ice getting into the french drain I have different problems

But my heat wont get turned off
