Best Speaker match to the Friedman BE-100?

I get the best tone from G12M 25 watt Blackbacks from the 70's.

I have a cab with same speakers Dan and love them , they are my favorite speaker with my other modded Marshall's but being that the b.e. Is already voiced dark ,the blackbacks aren't my favorite match. I even liked my old g1275's with the freidman. A brighter speaker is a better match with the freidman to help even it out.

Don't the V30s overpower the Greenbacks??

No. According to Celestion. Sensitivity matching: for best performance, speakers should have by less than 3dB difference in sensitivity. GB=98db V30=100db


I've run G12M Greenback re-issues with V30's. G12T-75 with V30's. and a Quad of Scumback BM75's. All of those combos sound great in their own right with a BE-100.
