Do you mean he said he was wrong that he called "undocumented immigrants" illegal? because undocumented migrants are illegal. He can't just say they're not illegal because I'm letting them in because the law hasn't changed.

Most people don't really care that much about the US taking in more people. We LEGALLY take in 1 million per year. The madness that's been occurring is about 20 million people have come into the country without any sort of vetting (IE they have no skills and cannot speak English and will wind up on government services for life) and with no thought to what that does to the economy, federal and state spending, the sort of strain that does to a country in terms of societal cohesion.
Name ONE country or nation that has benefited from extreme compartmentalization and deracination. It never works out well for the common native citizens. It leads to shitty societies that breakdown, implode, turn to war and then eventually something new comes a lot once lots and lots of people are dead.

I think back to something like Ellis island. There was no huge documentation process there. You gave them your name, if they couldn’t pronounce it they gave you a new one. Welcome to the US.

I disagree... There are what? 8 Billion people in the world. Everything your country strived for would be for nought if the they all flooded in. All the things your ancestors built that you should reap the benefit of would be for nothing because the value of your country divided by those sorts of numbers of people would drag you right back down to poverty.

How do you hold them liable for a traffic accident in a car for example when they shouldn't be able to get a driver's licence so they are driving unregistered. Hard to track to an address because they are hiding... all sorts of problems. Probably don't pay tax because they are illegal and do everything off the books. It's a joke. The company I worked for had branches in several states, so if we needed more guys in New York, we would just use excess openings from other states, so it kinda fell apart anyways. What was government spending like back then? Did they have some sort of process where they would have the country closed for a number of years and kick everyone immigrating out, then open it up, then close it again so those that came would be able to assimilate?
