 Thanks. I sent it back today. Gonna probably get the 4 X 12 Cab when I get the money refunded.

Oh wow....I am so happy that I had the good fortune of avoiding this. Thx for posting. I had a Stealth coming in for me up here only to realize that our stupid rep didn't allocate more than 3 of them as he didn't realize they were limited. So they have 6 orders up here that they have to now call customers back for and cancel.

I had the 212 cab on order with it. I was using the 212 combo with the Greenbacks and it was great so as someone pointed out that is the piece that is missing.

That amp will sound so much better with a 4x12, no question.

I felt the EVH 2 x 12 cab really didn't let the stealth open up like it needs to be. The build quality on everything I have purchased from EVH has been excellent.

Different strokes I guess.. I have both the EVH 2x12 as well as a Mesa Recto 2x12. I feel the EVH 50 watter sounds better with the EVH 2x12. That cab/head combo sounds killer to me.

I am guessing there may have been some kind of defect or something. No matter how I set the dials it just couldn't get tit to sound good. I plugged in my EVH 2 X 12 combo , Baron K88, and some old ADA rack gear up to it and couldn't get any of them to sound good. I emailed the company I purchased it from and told them they should check it out and it sounded a little thin.

definitely a defect. I had this cab and the bass sounded great. I got is used, so the speakers were already broken in. Not liking the speakers is a personal taste, but there is no lack in any frequency really, just like v30's. They sounded as full as mesa v30's but with more speaker breakup., due to the lower wattage rating.

What you describe reminds me when I once wired a 4 x 12 wrong and it had no bass at all, but I couldn't tell it was wrong until like a month later. I thought that greenbacks just sounded very thin.

When I had mine I quickly realized that I didnt like the 'tilt back' feature. Talk about losing all bottom end :(

Not a bad cab at all really though. It was a bit bright for my ears. My evh 50 and 100w heads sounded better thru my splawn cab but my OCD made me use the EVH cab so everything would match

I just traded for a brand new Splawn 2x12 recto style cab loaded with creamback 65's
i hope i don't have the problem the OP had with the EVH.
