Fuck AI. Fucking hate it. Hate data centers. They only benefit Oligarchs and do ZERO, fucking Z-E-R-O to improve humanity.
Amen. And the fight against proposed data centers (the powers that be want one here)?
It's all up to citizens, don't look for help from elected officials....they want the $$$. Massive protests (yes) seem to be the only roadblock for them.

I can't tell how much Datacenter/AI hate is legit. Liberals HATE that shit...so that should mean it's not that bad right? But AI just seems like a giant speculative bubble retards are pushing more than anything. What's it done besides funny cat videos? With how much has been invested in the past 3-4 years, there should be some sort of tangible work it's doing...right? Is that just better targeted ads? Ways to rig the stock market even more?

I would rather an AI doctor, accountant or lawyer than a human.

Obamar and Marxism, that's what happened.

Poor diet also.
This woman has been sounding the alarm for a long time. Doesn't matter what label we put on things, the 1% uses identity politics to reach the desired end result as the left and right bicker while the control system is implemented around them.

The levels of bureaucracy AI will have to contend with to usurp these positions seems like it will be an impossible undertaking.

just the opposite only AI can understand the tax code now, just ask any accountant.

And UC Berkely Medical University admits it push and graduates by race not merit.

Responsibility ultimately falls on the parents.

We've been blessed with AI "musicians" who can pump out 1000 "songs" a month. lol.

Hard to do when both parents need to work to pay the bills and keep house. Evil entities seems to have thought alot of things through and play the long game but seem to be in a hurry for a 2030 deadline.

Having lived suburban for many years I can understand abut you can always move rural and have much less overhead.

My question still stands-
If everyone simply stopped using AI, would it go away?
Doesn't AI get it's content from humans?
I wish this was the case. I am hopefull that there will be good that comes out of AI like curing cancer or other diseases like Alzheimers, Parkinsons, etc. I like to hope that it can help cure what I inherited and have likely passed to my sons so that they don't get rough or need these expensive and risky medicines.

I also know the world is not a safe place and we should be learning as much as we can so that if our future enemies weaponize AI, we can be ready.

In a rare surprise move of bi-partisanship the citizens here shut down the proposed data center and the city council has made it tougher for any future proposals to work out. They sell it as a closed loop system but the construction consumes a ton of water and the end result is few jobs are created. We are on a major aquifer here just down the road from my house, and my property is on part of the recharge zone. They were already foolishly selling water to a suburb down the road that hasn't put it's development in check, and can't even supply enough water for the people are already there. So let's build a data center, great idea. It's idiocy at it's finest.

Stargate is right outside of town.

I’ve listened to these charlatans sell the idea of how amazing AI data centers are.

I’m still very much on the fence. Water is an absolute premium in West Texas. They sell the idea of a closed loop system but I don’t buy it one bit.

One of the main guys with the giant GC firm basically said, this will all go bust sooner than later. Then we’ll have awesome boat storage and 2 gigs of electricity.

We’ll see.

Neither do I. The sheer volume of concrete and size of construction demands a LOT of water.

That would be awesome but I suppose in that case if you own an EZ storage you're gonna go bust, LOL.

So the water is more important to keep the Data centers running versus the public humans who funded and built the water supply infrastructure in the first place is where I have a problem with it. Data centers pulling water from the in ground water tables to supply these centers which should be in a location with ample water supplies like a river or large lake...Not in a midwest cornfield.

They are building Skynet, Orwell's Oceania, and Epsteinlandia via never ending data centers.

Think of the immoral, incompetent, low IQ BOOBS that typically end up running all levels of govt, including ruling over all of the brilliant people who design, invent, and/or operate useful things. But if everything you've ever looked at online or said in passing, every move you've ever made in the modern era whilst driving your vehicle, everything you've ever bought, etc, is logged, you can be an easy target for an utterly corrupt govt to blackmail at will.

If anyone thinks our Oligarch Overlords are going to allow millions or billions of Useless Eaters to exist in prosperity after AI renders them "obsolete", I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell ya, you're gonna love it!

Control is what's for supper.

If these data centers need so much water, why don't they just build them in the ocean?
Because the ocean will gradually increase in temperature, absorbing the heat generated by the servers in data centers.

An increase in ocean temperature releases water soluble carbon dioxide & other gases into the atmosphere.

Less carbon dioxide in the ocean, means less carbonic acid in the water which increases the ocean's pH.
