Because the ocean will gradually increase in temperature, absorbing the heat generated by the servers in data centers.

An increase in ocean temperature releases water soluble carbon dioxide & other gases into the atmosphere.

Less carbon dioxide in the ocean, means less carbonic acid in the water which increases the ocean's pH.
I don't think it's big enough to raise ocean temperatures. Lava is constantly escaping into the ocean and that's not a problem.

We've also detonated more than a few nukes in the ocean and well over 2,000 nukular tests (most in the open atmosphere) and the Earth is still here.. 💥

The ocean also absorbed the Fukushima disaster.

Wouldn't be helpful to the ocean locally to have data centers, but the effect is tiny relative to the size of the world's oceans.

What people should be thinking about is what happens to "obsolete" humans in the (not so far away) future when elections are also "obsolete". They'll truly be useless then---no jobs, no longer need votes........why keep these plebs alive again??

Alarmists have been saying for years that carbonic acid due to the binding of CO2 and carbonates is acidifying the oceans.

I cannot tell you how preposterous that is. Anyone who's kept a marine fish tank knows about the PH buffer. In the ocean/s, I couldn't begin to guess how many millions of tonnes of minerals (mainly CaCO I think) there are, and of course calcium carbonate's being dissolved from rocks and soil and dumped into the ocean 24/7 at the mouth of every river that ends there (most do).

In terms of scale, it's ridiculous.
 
Well, there is going to be some loss, yes, but it's not like they're using a million gallons a day like people try to lure people into fearing them. My friend is a chemical salesman/water treater and we've had multiple discussions about it. People don't need to fear the water usage nearly as much as the power usage, amount of land they take up, the tax money spent to build them while no real jobs are created, etc.

I was just clarifying 'cause you said, "Once the initial system fill is done, that's all they use", which to the best of my knowledge is not the case.

Since the Industrial Revolution, the average surface ocean pH has dropped from roughly 8.2 to 8.1
Because the pH scale is logarithmic, this seemingly small drop equates to a massive 26 to 30% increase in acidity.
Historical Speed: The current rate of acidification is roughly ten times faster than any change seen in the geological record over the last 55 million years.
