probably original or rev 2.
although my rev blue looks exactly like that one. so hard to say for sure.

Hard to tell, but the light appears to be green, which would indicate (generally) a Rev 2.

It's an Original or Rev 2. The pilot light is a lot bigger on them than Rev Blues.

Yeah, original or Rev 2.

Anything after that has an LED for the pilot light, which is quite small compared to the Fender-style jewel lights.

Is the Original or Rev 2 like everyone says more than likely.

Sounds like it but if you are ever planning to buy one verify with the serial number. You can change out the jewel lights. Mine is red for example.

I have a rev blue with the large green pilot and a leather handle.

You 100% sure that's a blue? Am curious to see the back. Does it have levels for the loop?

Yes it's possible, they had first batch of rev blue with the rev green look and even with some serial symbols instead of numbers.

Yerp.

But considering you can hear the string slap from the guitar, this is bedroom playing at its finest. That amp changes completely once things get cooking on the MV around 11-12noon. That's where the bubbling flowing growling intense magic starts to happen. Sure sure, you can use an attenuator - but the fact is push the cones, let the amp drive them, and this amp just goes fucking bezerk.

(My TJ is no slouch on a side-by-side test might I add.... NO slouch whatsoever!!)

Thank you guys,
So which version is considered to be the BEST of the BEST? Twin Jet, Rev2, Blue? I have no clue..

Depend on what you want.

Original & Rev 2 are very similar more organic, 3D and darker overall come stock with EL34's
Rev Blue is brighter and the gain structure is a little different than the first 2 come stock with EL34's and lately 6L6's
Twin Jet is 2 gain channels, first channel as more of Marshall vibe and second is base on the Rev blue overall tighter and more brutal than the others probably due to the KT88's also best for low tuning 7 string

Hope that helps!

Well IHMO... after owning 8 Ubers from the original thru the Twin Jet... I like the new 2016 Revision Blue best. It cuts, it's brighter, tighter, and still has massive low end thickness... which is why you buy an Uber in the 1st place. I also like the Blue best with EL34s... not KT88s or 6CA7s as some also use. And yes, the newest 2016 Blue sounds better and different then a 2015 Uber Blue (I've played several of each). Something has changed. The TJ is my second favorite with KT88s. Even though the TJ with KT88s sounds a bitt too compressed, a little nasally, and congested. It not as thick and massive sounding as the Blue or Rev #2 for example. The TJ was Reinhold's response for a tighter tracking, responding, and feeling Uber. He went after the Engl/Diezel demographic. But, you loose much of what the Uber was originally designed and marketed as.... and it's not the iconic sound. And no clean channel for intros... boo!!!

Get a new Blue or a used Blue as they sound best all around... they retain the iconic Uber sound, while still being tight enough to handle most any metal style w/o a boost and they sound great recorded too.

Starting to really like the sounds of a Rev blue here. As you know Wizard, I was considering (still am) a Mesa, but the Bogner is something I've been itching to try for just as long. I'm looking for something more forgiving, with more sag, and less immediacy (not as fast in the tracking I guess) as my Engls. Don't get me wrong, I love the Engls to death and they aren't going anywhere, but I'd like something equally as capable and evil sounding for playing the brutal stuff but with more sag, bounce, and forgiveness if that makes sense.

Me too. I was deciding between new Mesa Dual or Bogner Uber... and recently picked up a new 2016 Uber Blue. It does everything you're wanting. Check one out.

Which version of the Uberschall do we here in this clip? I love this sound. So crunchy, woody, articulate and woody.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LigFNdel42I

If you want that sound it's a Rev green, that means Original or Rev 2. I can get exactly that sound from my Rev 2 + Bogner cab V30 and a nice mahogany guitar with passive pickups.
Here's another clip of the same amp. Those amps have a special feeling under the fingers when you play them, i will never sell mine for that reason. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIqB0JmdlWs

Not too long ago the most sought after Uberschall was the Rev 2 but everything is a matter of taste and very personal. Things are changing very quickly around here.

Rev 2 or TJ. Most people like the rev 2 and it's the favored Uber over all. I personally, thought my old TJ sounded better than my current rev 2. Revision blue is the least sought after and favored uber.

Prefer the TJ over the Rev. Blue. Just stays together better. Less compression, more cut.

Maybe I had a lemon, but my Rev Blue was my least favorite Uber. Too bright and Marshall-y for my taste.
