Yeah I bought the clip but haven't used it much at all because I'm a V30 guy and Mesa spec V30's with one 57 is the shit.
The marshall cab i had before I think there was something wrong with it as it sounded boxy and small even with a 2203 cranked into it. The bogner cab is very clear and open when loud and sounds 20 times better regardless of the volume, im mainly just confused by the super high frequency fizz as I thought most speakers had a steep drop off after 8k so I guess im more concerned that there may be something wrong with the speakers. I love the tone of speakers and its my favorite of all the cabs and speakers ive tried so far when its pushed its just the fizz thats bothering me mostly though its not thay easy to hear when really playing loud.

I love everything about the speakers at volume but the sort of fizzy highs, but i just got back from Nashville and bought a tc2240 so maybe I can just cut out a little of those highs in the fx loop with it. I was using the parametric eq in my fractal in the fx loop but im hoping the tc2240 might help me smooth the highs out without sounding too dull like with the fractal. I dont really like the parametric eq in the fractal as much as other eqs ive tried in the past.
For new production greenbacks what would you personally recommend?
The EVH version, which is essentially the Heritage 20w that isn't made anymore(afaik). The EVH version is based on the OG M20 that was made in 1966-67. When Celestion made the Heritage version, it was 199 vs 159 for the EVH(a few yrs back). Same speaker though.
In your opinion do they sound really close to older greenbacks when broken in? I was actually considering that speaker or a scumback speaker but that might should be for another thread.
I haven't played any Scumbacks but I trust that they'd also be a great choice. I recently got a 1968 Straight cab(empty, original handles/grill/caster cups but the tolex was stripped, and the whole thing is painted black) and also found 3 1969 Pulsonic 1221s for a good price. The 4th speaker I installed is a Heritage 20w just like the EVH. Fits the tone of the other 3 vintage GBs perfectly.
