It sounds like a pedal to me too because I already knew it was one. Same with modelers. I can always tell it's a modeler when I already know it's one.

Always a smart ass in the bunch :D I've been through this a million times. You can always tell a modeler. Compression and thickness give them away. haven't heard one yet that gets it right except the Kemper. That said, using a power amp and going through a cab gets damned close but the tubes still rule.

I'm not kidding. I've been through this a billion times.

I don't care for that tone. Wouldn't like it if it was an amp OR a pedal.

Not a fan of that lot of gain, no sustain thing. :aww:

Doesn't sound bad , but.....not inspiring. I'd have to try one out or myself I suppose.

Does anyone know what amp he's playing through? I think that makes a bit of a difference understanding the context of the pedal.

I think the level of engineering in these is evident. I don't need one, as I have my 20thA sitting 12 feet behind me as I type this. But I think these pedals matched with a decent tube combo of sorts would rock out - especially something with a nice big round clean on it that could be used as the base tone to go through the pedal.

I betcha these are gonna move fast.

He's using a Deluxe Reverb, shows the setup in the ending song/credits, I assume that's what was being used throughout the video.

In that case, this pedal is definitely doing its thang!! As best as a pedal can anyway. Ya, this thing would be the shiznit on something like a Peavey Classic 30/50 or any other open back style of combo that doesn't have a "too" distinct sound of its own.

irwin demoed these pedals for me at the la amp show through the deluxe and i have always been a big fan of the xtc blue channel. the pedal sounded great and captured the spirit, although it wasnt identically a 101 blue channel tone you'd get with a half stack...

now i'm not so keen on the actual xtc red channel, but the pedal sounded awesome in the room with the deluxe!

i regret not having him play the pedals through the goldfinger, which is a killer killer amp.

in case you are not hip to irwin

any landau head is a friend of mine!

Finally got to checking out the demo, I hope he does one for the other 2.

Hey Guys,

I have 30 of each pedal being shipped to me Oct 31. If you want one please PM me I will have them as early as anyone.

$299.99 Red or Blue
$249.99 Uber

Can't wait to get my grubby mitts on my Blue. So glad I preordered!!!

while demoing these pedals at the amp show, Reinhold and his video guy asked me to be in an upcoming video, since my style was different than everyone else who normally plays (meaning, I suck and play cheezy thrashy metal, instead of the van halen and classic rock everyone else there always plays).

Not sure if it will be for another Pedal video (btw, the Uberschall and Ecstasy RED pedals kick some serious ass and I could play on them for hours!), or just a different amp demo (possibly Uberschall or Twin Jet), but it will be fun whenever it happens.

I want to plug one of these into the power-amp input of my Mojave Dirty Boy with the Variac set to 90 volts.

sounds pretty good to me. It would be cool using in front of a 2203 to add some versatility to the one trick pony.

Certainly will not make want sell my Ecstasy and grab a couple of pedals ;) I love the Blue channle

I had a brief session with these pedals at the amp show (finally made it into Bogner room a few minutes before closing time), through the silver face deluxe shown in the demo. I really enjoyed the blue. I couldn't get anything that I really liked out of the red or uberschall, but I was rushed (my own doing) and my buddy Josh kept telling me that I was close, but needed to dig a little more. I have played through an Ecstasy before and it wasn't really my flavor, so take all this for what it's worth. Thing is, what I could get from the blue was a variety of options surrounding the core blue tone and the flexibility of the boost. If you enjoy these tones but need a scaled down option or a backup, these pedals seem like a no-brainer.

I wonder if the Uber would be a good backup for my Triple Rec at gigs or the Wampler Triple Wreck??

I saw the Bogner pedal trio at Guitar Center Saturday. They are so classy looking. They have something about them that I can only relate to Strymon that makes you think 'Now that's a classy mo-fo'.

Dude asked me if I wanted to plug one in. I had cash on me so I said no. I'm pretty sure I would have bought one...
