Well, I agree with you on Analog Man stuff. I mean it’s overpriced for what it is, but you know how it is. Sometimes something comes along and it just seems perfect, and you gotta have it, and the price don’t matter. It’s part of the fun of being a guitar player, I guess.

I mean these guys aren't Analog Man and yeah his shit is pure insanity......

But I mean IME I've always tried the nicer stuff, give it a try and go back to the classics or discover them for the first time and find it makes me happier *_*

I don't know who Michael Landau is. The little house on the prairie dude? Josh is a great player but I see nothing exceptional about his tone vs other excellent players doing blues stuff, which would include guys like Kirk Fletcher who seems to run with him frequently. I actually like Kirk's tone better on stuff like "keep on pushing" and related. I do think he sometimes uses a Vemuram Jan Ray but not sure what his regular rig includes and tbh don't really care as I'm not really a pedal junkie or chasing tone besides my own. Maybe it's to my detriment, I dunno.

I'm not knocking the pedal other than price and layout. It sounds real good. If it's worth $415 plus tax and shipping to you then by

I'd have a hard time convincing myself to pay $415 for a pretty basic looking pedal like that. It's a $250 pedal with an additional $165 worth of TGP hype to the brand name.

I was curious to what the inside of a Vemuram pedal looked like ... the components used etc ...

I found this ...

I've built my own version of this which was called the 808 Imperial ...

anyway .... they use Vishay caps including some axials .... I use the same caps in my builds .... same Alpha pots too

the only thing that really stood out to me component wise were the Gold plated Neutrik jacks ...... very nice ... now I got to go price some of those out

the TSV808 sold for stupid coin too ...

I still have one of these, its a nice pedal, i love it, but i would never pay the prices that these sell for today. But if prices keep going up then i will get tempted to sell it someday.
It says its a tubescreamer but its not the same as the other TS, its got a different flavor, not really sure of the right words to say, but sounds more refined and mixed and produced sounding tone when used thru a clean or slightly overdriven amp. Complete waste if you just wanna use it for a cleanboost.
