I dig the riffing in the other vid just uploaded (where you're playing Frayed Ends Of Sanity, Stand Alone, Angel Of Death). What do you think of the shred neck?

Nice tone man !
What's the delay in the 1st clip?
Is it in front of the amp or in the loop?

Wow! Dave that is world -class Panzer assault tone in the first vid. I actually prefer it straight up, no boost. I think the Timmy is awesome, but the grind on the E is a little better defined without it, and is a little more even with the rest of the chords. I want that amp if you ever sell it- DIBBS   Cool charvel  UH..... Did I mention that I want that amp if you ever sell it??

Man the tone in that first video is killer. Sounds so heavy and has so much crunch.

LOL!!! that was awesome Dave!!!! Loved it all but the First Vid had some crazy good tone IMO...

Damn the tone is crunchy, fat and saturated in the first vid! :inlove: Killer clips, Dave! How do you find the Suhr Aldrich pups? Was testing Mesa amps with couple of pals and we had few guitars there and all of them had different bridge pups. I have Paf Pros in my RGT but I got an idea to change them for something else after the testing session. Bridge pups on the other guitars we had there were Dimarzio D-Sonic, SD Custom 5 (SH14, I think) and PRS HSF or something like that. I really liked how the D-Sonic and the Custom 5 sounded. Suhr Aldrichs have gotten lots of praise here and hence my interest in them.

+1, I LOVED the tone of that first vid.

Hey Dave,
Question: with the Aldrich pick ups I am sure alot of the video is the amp, but what do the Aldrich do to the sound
vs. say SD pick ups?
Gain?
Sustain?
Clarity?

Sounds great by the way.

I was wondering if anyone caught this video. We were in the basement and my daughter loves to play her guitars with me.

I love the neck and it plays great. Sure my LP sounds better, but I prefer the strat shape. BTW, the amp I amp playing through is a 99% stock JCM800 through greenback 25's boosted with a Timmy pedal.

The pussy's back!
Cool vid and cool kid, Dave!

Great playing and those amps kick butt!! Did you get that Jose off of Ned?

yup, I got it from Ned, who I think got it from Art (232cap). I cant believe those guys sold it. It can get a lot of different tones just by turning the presence knob. It also has the low gain Jose, which sounds great for VH stuff.

I knew it! That was one of the best heads I've heard for pure tone and I can't believe either one of them sold it. Ned, you sold it twice!! Shame on you.

Dave-

Sounds great! What were you using for delay? Very nicely done

omg! Your daughter is completely adorable , that was a fun and cool clip. Dude, ripping stuff with the DOD and the first vid sounded monstrous ...i like to delay level/time your using. Is that Timmy pedal really transparent, it sure sounds like it!

thanks for posting and keep em comin!

lol!  Tony, the only reason that i sold it was because i needed to free up some cash badly,at the time, plus i did it KNOWING that i have a cameron "jose" Sovtek MIG50 head that's coming in a couple of weeks! :D gonna be just as MEAN & just as GAINY,for HALF the price ;) i wouldnt of let it go if i didnt have another one to replace it with ;) ...............cant go wrong there, boys   so there, now the cat's outta the bag... ha ha!

that is a killer sounding Jose ....Thats what im talkin bout brotha!!!!!!!!!!!

I really need to either get a Cameron modded Marshall, or find some way to mod my own Marshall to sound like that. They're easily the best sounding Marshalls out there.

The delay is an Intellifex LTD. I also have a tiny bit of reverb included, but I have it set to ducking, so the delay/reverb are very quiet during faster runs so the notes dont end up stepping on each other. I am actually using a TIM pedal in the first video which is basically the same as the Timmy, but the Tim has an added section for additional boost. Both pedals are very transparent and dont add any compression. I honestly switch back and forth between an original TS9, SD-1, TIM and now a yellow DOD preamp 250. My favorite by far is the TIM.

Thanks, Dave.
