Nah, I think you'd be surprised. Everybody has ripped of everybody in the amp biz imho..and what's hot today might not be later today...cough* Lee Jackson *cough...so alot of amp builders are keeping their day jobs etc thank you very much...just sayin'. I disagree 100% but you are entitled to your opininion. For what it's worth the Ceriatone amp looks EXACTLY and I mean EXACTLY like a Fortin Cali mod but you don't see anyone from the Fortin Camp bitching do you? You want to know why? Because shit happens and said amp is a rehash of a mod of a mod of a mod of a mod of a mod.
If history has taught me anything, Brand name recognition will always outrule the Interweb BS. It's the reason why even though this could be a direct lift of one of the modders in question It more then likely wont sound the same and even if it did, people will still question if a Fortin or a Cameron is better and they will seek them out no matter what.


Anyway, you guys Know I love Mark's Work and Mike's work and Nik makes his money off of copying stuff , so I'm not surprised to see something like this.
With that said, Mike and Mark will still be ok regardless because they are Bad MO Fo's when it comes to this stuff.

That's Irrelevant, .... Mark told Dave to post those simple mods to share with everyone. And I've only performed that mod for myself, I'm not in the amp business. Just sayin.....

Mark actually told me to give it out so that some modder doesn't get ahold of the simple mods and start charging people $300 to do it. He thought it would benefit the players over the modders. Mark said he would never charge for this mod.

Yep, I remember that. I just find it funny for someone to be somewhat up in arms over other people ripping off mods when from the looks of it, they do plenty of other peoples mods themselves. Just sayin'.

I for one hope the copy-cats can replicate the mods of Fortin and Cameron so people stop sending amps for them to mod and just buy their name branded amps. Maybe they'd have more time to speed up production if the mod work slow. Well probably not happening in the case of Cameron, but Fortin anyway. The only thing holding me back from buying one is wait times.
