I don't know but some of the clips of this amp sound as good to me as the "big name" modded Marshalls.
You are correct  I have played a bunch of them and the Ceriatone Chupa is right there with them

Although sound is a subjective thing, to my ears your flip clip sounds quite thin and quite fizzy. It may be because you're playing at a low volume. I assume this because I don't hear the compression from the Flip camera kicking in and squashing the sound like they normally do when you try and record a loud sound. I'm looking forward to hearing a good clip of this amp.
So far I haven't been impressed in the least.

To put things in perspective, here is a clip of my amp also recorded with a Flip camera (1st model) with the master at 2 and gains at 6 on the "rhythm" sound (no gain boost on) . Notice that the compression on the camera is already kicking in with the master on 2. Also notice that the amp has bottom end.

Sorry it does not meet your expectations...Next clip i will turn down the presence to stop the fizz and turn the bass up to give it bottom end

I think your clip sounded pretty good. For my taste, it just needs a bit less presence, a bit more bass, and more mids. But that's just personal preference.

Thanks Man...There is no problem putting more bottom end in the amp...I was running the presence on 8 and treble on 7 with bass on 4 taking the presence down to 5 will add tons of low end...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvzr7RcgG8s ....Here is a quick clip of the Chupa...Again my zoom Q3 is not in yet so the recording is done on the shitty flip camera....But i know a few wanted to hear a clip so there will be more to follow with a better camera soon...Gain 1 and 2 are set on halfway....
Wow! A $1000 Cameron. Awesome!

chupacabra.....
Lol. Doesn't sound like a Cameron. It has it own thing going on...at least to me, which is why I am interested.

Thank God it doesn't sound like a Cameron, which is why I'm interested.

The problem is with the recording, the amp has more than enough low end in person. Just have to figure a cheap way to capture it, thinking about a zoom q3.

well i think the overall quality of the tone of your clip will be MUCH better and everyone will be FULLY satisfied if u change the color of the black instrument cable, plugged into the front of the amp,to a more colorful, happy cable.maybe a yellow or bright red shade, but one ONLY from a Brazilian color "palette" chart.that will make the highs & mids REALLY blossum.then add some glo-in-the-dark Iron Maiden posters on the block wall behind the amp.that will give the amp's tone more "thump".lastly,i believe that IF you find a way to mask your East Coast accent and pretend to sound very "British",the amp, tonally, will be "era-correct" and cannot sound anything but GREAT . ;) thank you!

This amp needs to be recorded in a treated studio by experienced engineers with professional mics and pres at 24 bit. End of story! I'm not being a dick or an elitist it's just that this is a new amp that no one has heard, it needs to be heard all the way. Not one clip I've heard has anything going on below 400 cycles. The Marshall sound has so much information in the register.

My 2 cents.

And again this is in no way against what you've done, I just think it's important that people are clear on the limitations of these type of clips. I know the amp has body, my Ceriatone Plexi is fat as fuckin hell. I want to feel the body and power.

Im agree. Ill be using this amp all over our new CD. 16 track to 1" tape for all the basics....then over to pro tools. Should sound awesome. Looking forward to your shootout James

From this clip I get an Aldrich mod sorta vibe

yeah
but the Aldrich mod doesn't have the diode clipping and has one extra tube gain stage
it shouldn't be much different from a Jose, though
Doug had an original Jose back in the day

his main tone is the Suhr/Golub JMP, anyway, but people away seems to attribute his tones to the Cameron (the chupacabra effect)

You're correct The Aldrich mod doesn't use diodes, it does not use an extra tube though either... Generally if you see one that has an extra tube it's for the FX loop....

according to Mark, Doug's amp has 4 gain stages
maybe the loop is hybrid in some amps he did
if it's a Jose style loop, then it's passive (no buffer or regain stage)

It's 4 stages with no added tubes, no cathode follower either. That's why there's no extra tubes needed
