If you look at more than surface level data you'll see it's a certain culture that causes the majority of the gun related homicides in the US. It's speculation, but a fairly safe bet if guns were removed those statistics would shift to other mechanisms for homicide. We just have to look to Australia to see evidence of that. (see below)

It's not a gun, or knife, or any other "weapon" problem. It's a people/culture problem. Stricter gun or knife, or whatever laws don't address the root cause. Ban everything and these same people/cultures would just beat others to death with rocks & sticks at similar rates.

The data shows for the USA that there’s a huge swing towards gun violence in the black/African American population, but you don’t have to look far to also see higher proportions of generational poverty, drug use and abuse and resultant crime, broken families, lack of education and incarceration rates in that community too.

It’s a safe assumption then that gun crime is linked to lower socio economic indicators, which would involve resetting those systemic inequalities so that community can help themselves.

You seldom see though, mass shootings being carried out by black perpetrators.

This time there'll be more diligence in vetting objectionable behaviour in an effort to recreate a fun, happy place to hang out.

He's also agreed to the creation of multiple sub-forums that will help keep things organised in categories such as hobbies, cooking, TV /Movies, sport, automotive stuff and so on. With any luck we should have most bases covered with this approach. No firm date for these additions is available at this time but I hope to see them soon.
