Other countries could learn a thing or two if they weren't so conceited and act like they are above it.
A firearm is a tool, it harbors no ill will. I own 4 of them and none of them have ever harmed anyone in all the years i have owned them.
More bad guys with guns + less good guys with guns = more gun crime/deaths. It's not even debatable.
And it's been proven in the US over time. Take a lesson from us and don't blame an attack by radical muslims as "right wing extremism". And having unarmed police officers is insane.
Sooner or later, citizens need to place the blame on certain members of society, and not on the firearm itself.
All modern dictators disarmed their populations first. It's the first step of tyranny.

This is THE problem around the world today and you have idiots like Albanese once again claiming diversity is our strength which is THE very reason this shit happened as you too have pointed out.

Back in the old days, pre woke, pre bullshit social do gooders, bullshit harassment laws etc migrants were pretty much forced to assimilate by those around them and it pretty much worked and very little trouble by said migrants was experienced. If it did happen it was extinguished very quickly by law enforcement with no avenues of appeal.

Us at the turn of century, Australia in the 50s, the UK in the 40s & 50s it worked. The change and introduction of the problem was in the 80s they were allowed to bring their old world with them which would never fit into the land they migrated to. Who in their right mind would put a panther in with a pet dog into a cage and expect no problems.

You can blame your legal system, the social workers and the list goes on. How many times can they be proven wrong and yet, it still continues as I write this.

If Australia (or any country) was honestly serious about gun control, all munitions factories & stores would be closed, no imports of firearms whatsoever and if caught 25yrs in jail with no right of appeal or obtaining a reduced sentence. Police also have no firearms because they too have no right to have them if their paying employer citizens are not allowed to have them. Ironically most gun deaths in these countries are by the police themselves.

I don't pretend to know what it's like to live in another country, but most every person from another country thinks they know exactly what it's like to live in the US. It's pretty ironic.

For the US, it's not about "need".
It's a Constitutional right.

You're missing the point.
The muslim guy who disarmed the 1 shooter? Completely unarmed. The guy should get some type of medal for that. Got cut up and ended up in the hospital. He definitely saved lives.
If he was armed, he could have saved so many more lives. And he would prob not have gotten injured.

You don't seem to get the point. The point people here try to make is it's not the guns because they're inanimate objects it's the person weilding them... but you can't control those people (scum) in the population that would do the wrong thing so it's just as much the access they have to guns. I illustrated it with dynamite and kids. Dynamite is an inanimate object but if you took the dynamite away the unstable kids wouldn't blow themselves up would they.

All that said, I don't support further gun control or nanny state measures. I support not bringing in incompatible cultures that would attack us in the first place. They hate us.
