I stand corrected. That alder Carvin has a sweet grain. :doh: :D
 
Dave, fwiw, I bagged a handful of Kramer bodies and necks a bunch'a years ago, and I played 3 of them both pre and post paint, and the TONE was definitely different. You may like it, or it may suck. I'd take the time to re-assemble and Listen to it first before deciding to oil it or do anything to clog the pores and then have to strip it all over again for paint... then buy black, prep for paint, and do a b/w VH stripe job.... :rock: :lol: :LOL:
