Considering switching to Super Reverb and sea of pedals...

Always wanted a Super Reverb or a AC30. Use it for cleans in a multi amp rig with a Mesa and a Marshall, and take just the combo and a pedalboard to smaller gigs. Get those great clean sounds, and have an amp that can do cleans into mid-gain with a pedalboard. Perfect for small shows and jams/get-togethers!

It might be a good idea to get a 1x12 extension cab to go with it for the more gainy sounds. Sometimes I feel like the 10s just don't cut it. Sound great for cleans/slight crunch though! Could go with a removable panel 1x12 so you can experiment with open/closed sounds.

I crave real amp gain as well. It's rawer and typically has more bite and balls. You can "feel" it.
I've tried lots of pedals into clean amps for a gain tone and left that idea behind.

I find nothing has a better overdrive tone than a nice, fat mid-gain type preamp in a great sounding amp (and hitting it with a boost/drive pedal if needed).

There are lots of great channel switchers out there that don't cost a ton if you need a separate clean and dirty tone.
If you don't need a totally clean tone and don't mind a bit of dirt, a nice single-channel amp with the guitar's volume can work beautifully.

I think the ultimate setup for Tweed would be a mid gain 2 channel amp. One that has a great clean and the other channel set for lower gain crunch for rhythm and then hit with a pedal for leads.

It doesn't exist

You SHOULD be considering switching your speed dial options on your phone and call Gainfreak up to secure one of those yingyangs.

Got some time with one at NAMM, side by side with the AFD. THe Ging Wee was right up my alley, just not sure the wallet can handle it at this moment thought. But it would work for me quite nicely. The power scaling is ridiculous on those amps!
