Made a comparison of some clean amps I have as well.

I'm a horrible clean player. It's also difficult for my brain to switch between 3 amps and not screw everything up. :D

I love Diezel clean.

Sorry for the possible necro-bump, but indeed the Diezel's cleans are the best here.
HK kinda thin and screechy...Cobra's clean more on the overly middy, borderline nasal side.
Diezel's clean is the widest, with best balance of clear and warm.

Got to play one...

Clean channel is almost Mesa Mark series good...
CH2 is very versatile and good, very picky to the EQ settings.

CH3 to me wasn't tight enough. Has this almost fuzzy, muddy saturation going on in the low-mids. Couldn't dial it out.
I *wanted* to like this amp, but alas... :aww:

dmoll is my favorite against einstein, fokker and hagen. probably my fave amp of all time.

for me its my Dmoll then Hagen then Einstein. thats where I landed and where i am staying.

i use eq with boost rather than od channels. VFE focus is awesome as is empress para eq.

I still really want to try a Hagen. :aww:

There was a Hagen for $2200 or less IIRC at the classifieds like a month ago.
I just didn't want to buy without trying, and it got sold pretty fast. Kinda wish I had jumped on it.
From the clips I hear, I seem to dig the D-moll more tough.

Hagen is for downtuning low. Its voice does NOT suit regular tunings as well at all. This can make the amp seem extremely dark and downright corpulent. I also think its why many did not like it.

Set up properly it KILLS for the lower tunings and 7-9 string stuff. Not as raw as vh4, Einstein or Fokker in the upper mids but far more raw then the Herbert.
