Actually now you are putting words in my mouth. I just spoke of somebody else who spoke eloquently to the people and was historic. You put the comparison together of him and Hitler. I would prefer to compare him more to another liberal democrat that will punish those who work hard and give to those who do not! But hey I am sure you will get free gas, mortgage and other goodies so it is well and good!!!!

Jesus Christ dude, just forget it, you're not worth it.

I see, since I disagree with you I am not worth it. Ok well if that is the way it works then I could just say same to you. However I do not feel that way regarding a person. I feel you have a right to your opinion. It is too bad you cannot just accept others might not agree, so is life. Get over it dude.

I know some of you are pissed right now but I for one voted for Obama and it had alot to do with the fact that I did not want to see the second in a row undeserving fortunate son get to be the President of the United States. Check this little article out and this is just scratching the surface.

'Dodds Corollary

As Godwin's Law has become more and more popular, its use in daily arguments increased. The rising use of Godwin's Law led to the implementation of the Dodds Corollary. The Dodds Corollary states:

"When debating a particular subject, if a comparison or implied connection is drawn between the opponent's argument and Hitler and the Nazi Party, the maker of that statement is automatically discredited and the debate is automatically lost by the person or group who referenced the connection to Hitler or the Nazis."'

Also do not forget if you skipped breakfast and stepped on a crack today you may be hungry and break your mothers back, oh and be discredited because of so!

In all seriousness I had never heard of the above, it is quite interesting. As long as they do not go as far as to state to ignore what happened or forget about it, as history does repeat itself if we are not aware of the past. And no that was not a dig at Obama

so we have a new president.. K.. the only thing that drives me nuts is.. the guy needs a de-esser!!

McCains speech was cool.

screw it people... We voted, we see the outcome, regardless what it is he will be our president of our country. Support him! Good thing is, in his position he's got a lot of people watching him and a lot of pressure on him. He will have to be a little more attentive to details unlike our useless puppet we have in there now. Hell, you never know. This son of a bitch could really surprise us people who were against. Nothing else to do but sit back and watch.

agreed joshsage.. this will be the most watch and could be the most criticaly viewed president ever. This has been a very passonate election. which is amazing.

You would have to be a complete fool to ignore or forget the lessons of the past, and while I may be foolish, I am not a complete fool. :D

Oh and the article for the Law is interesting. It's interesting how the terms came about.

It`s going to be interesting to see the situation in a year or two (more likely two?)
One side will probably be correct, and I hope it is the side that supports Obama.

I sincerely hope he`ll be the turning point for making everyone`s life better :)

Congrats, USA! You`ve got a new president, give him a chance, he`ll either make it or he won`t. If he screws up, don`t give him a second chance. But give him a first

POST EDITED WITH CONTENT ADDED AFTER INITIAL POSTING

Same here. Never been ashamed to be an American, until now. Given two bad choices, this country chose the one that was the worst.

Oh well.

After further thought and having it pointed out by Kage, I'm not ashamed to be an American. I'm ashamed and disappointed that my fellow countrymen in my mind, have chosen poorly. Almost incredibly so.

That's actually a good call. I'm going to edit my post to add something but leave the old part up. Just putting this on record for all to read.

Out of lack of knowledge and curiosity: Are there other reasons than taxes you`d rather see McCain in the office?

-The social situation concerning everyone, not just the "self"?
-The economic situation in general?
-World politics?

etc..
