Killer boost, I'm never parting with mine. I've used it with multiple amps, it sounds great with all of them.

I said fuck it I’ll try mine again. Holy shit I missed it . I forgot about the nuts this thing adds . I guess I’ll play with my other boosts again
Been awhile
Planet of the Vapes will be king @griff10672

TD, will you PLEASE do a demo of the POTV when you get it.

I really want to hear what it can do.

Thanks in advance.

Hopefully .... you didn't misunderstand my saying it was inspired by you .... meant I was giving one away ....

They are for sale ..... but I'm not giving any of them away

I apologize if there was any confusion

The 808 is the best boost in front of a Mesa Recto, hands down. Just look at Nevermore tones from Dead Heart in a Dead World. Huge, brawny, chunky, and thick, yet juicy and saturated. Just a bulldozer in the best possible way.

Oh I know . I’ll get one one

Great pedal with a pure classic metal tone as a boost. I found that the Ibanez mini ts-808 is virtually identical, at least into rectos and 6505.

Honestly yes. It just brings the chug 😂

I have an older TS9 reissue now retired. Tried a lot of stuff even the new TS9 but nothing came close like the Maxon OD808.

Having said that the Johnny Chimpo could do as much or more too but I like running them side by side for that "Double Trouble" and stacked TS tone. The Chimpo is based on a Bad Monkey but the Bad Monkey is based on a TS.

Need a new input jack on mine. Any idea where to find one? I gigged mine 12 years straight and miss using it.
