what is the difference in a TS9 and 808?

I think some of the TS9s do not have the exact same JRC chip. Other than that, I'm not sure.

Technically none but IMO the Maxon OD808 and Reissue TS9 are more similar and have more "air" for lack of a better term than a current production.

I love it and short of that I feel the next best option is an TS9 current Production or TS Mini in that order IMO but can't go wrong with any of them tbh.....

I feel like KSE popularized the Maxon resurgence because before they broke through, it was all about the TS808/9 pedals. It’s ridiculous looking back at it now. They are as close to each other in sound as you can get. Everyone says the Maxon doesn’t cut as much low end but I just don’t hear it.
