A few friends of mine used to work at SLM back in the day. I usually have my SVT serviced by the guy who most likely built it. I won't name drop, but I know the dude and have been in bands with some of the dudes he plays with. In fact I sold him an SVT rig and an enclosed trailer a few years back. He designed some of the Crate amps too, though I don't know which one(s). I can tell you that if you take an amp to him for service, A, it ain't cheap and B, he's gonna have it awhile. lol

I can't imagine what having Khan work on an amp would cost. Or if he would even do it at this point.

Yeah I had one too late 80s. But then I upgraded to a Crate half stack!!! hahah. I traded that for a Marshall Artist series half stack and that sounded somewhat better. What did I know then???LOL
