Dependability - Kemper | Dependability - AxeFx?

I've never had a problem with either one. Since it's going to be a studio tool for you and not lugged around, I wouldn't worry about the form factor. Pick which one you like best based on tone and features and go from there.

Tony M. doesn't like the AxeFx, but that seems to be based more on personal animosity than any objective observations.

Guys...Zent is a big Axe FX2 fan and why not...it does sound pretty nice.
He's pretty much on every forum looking for any opportunity to defend/argue that the Axe-FX is the best.
Just calling it as it is. Now he's moved into RT to defend the Axe-FX, which he's entitled to do, just gets a bit tired.
And all I said in this entire thread was that they are both built very well and are used by pros. I advised to get whatever works for the OP soundwise and not worry about which might fail as neither company will put out failure rate numbers but both have good service when there is a problem.

I also called out a poster when he said "the Kemper is built much much better than the Axe".
I asked for evidence which he doesn't have. His use of the double "much much" is hyperbole at best and doesn't address exactly what is better about it. The vid he presented shows a guy looking inside a Kemper. Looks good to me but doesn't support his claim without showing the inside of an Axe and why it is "less less better built".

Absolutlely no "fanboyisms" anywhere in any post here. If you're gonna make claims then show evidence to support or STFU. Never ever ever said the Axe was the best...period.

Nowhere on any forum will you find me typing anything but glowing reviews of the Kemper product....period.

PS: I am on three forums....Fractal, here, and TGP digital section. Feel free to look up my postings on any of them. Oh, I have been here for two years.

IMHO it's pure irony that you use the word butthurt when referring to Kemper owners. You are literally following every thread in the universe that mentions that the Kemper is better than the axe and defending the axe at all costs. Quit it, it's annoying. You're starting to sound like Scott Peterson.

P.S. Didn't I beat you down on TGP because of this very thing?

Really? Aren't you the little fanboy that only posts in Kemper threads over there? This guy?

Didn't I hand you your ass in a basket for being such a one sided Kristoph dick sucker? LOL

Seems like you jump in to every Kemper thread just slurping at the knob.

I changed one poster's quote to turn his calling me butthurt into him calling himself butthurt. Joke son. Most Kemper owners aren't as insecure as you.

Well sir, I came in to the thread to say they were both well built but read some made up horse crap and got off topic. Good units each. Good sounds each. Good support each. That's the bottom line.

And that exactly the bottom line. What works for some....wont work as well for others....and vice versa.
You mentioned earlier....both have pros and cons. Couldnt agree more. I would take either one myself no problem.

Nah man.....those things dont really interest me. :D

Hey guys, no need to get tense. I'm just asking a basic question about the dependability of each unit based on experience. I think both units sound pretty impressive. I'm leaning toward the Kemper only because it does appear to meet my specific needs more than the Axe -BUT- that does not mean that I think one is better than the other. Asking about dependability is just me dotting the i's and crossing the t's.

Oh yeah, I changed the title of this tread to remove the "Verses" part.

Chill... :)

Please for the love of all things rig talk. Let's not let this place become tgp digital moddeller section. I have enjoyed the relative low arguing over digital boxes and the harmony both have had here. While a few "no one messes with Cliff" comments arise, Let a person say his opinion and leave it at that. ;)

When peeps start lurking in every thread just "keeping things in line" whenever somethig is mentioned negatively and pretty much all they talk about, gets old fast. If horse crap is mentioned then let it go. Most will see things for what they are, if unbiased. No need to police the talk on forums. ;)

I used to never hang out in tgp specially in the digital moddelling forum. Then when I got the Kemper I started threads here and there just demoing the gear like I always do, same as i do for any new amp i get. Holy shit it was strange how things went down there. It was like the Kemper was some illegal alien invading the homeland. Defensive Guns were Ablazing. It's Friggen gear. Geez. It was so odd I couldn't leave ;)

I would lean toward the Kemper myself if I was going for one. ;)

If only you had one To profile every amp you've had. I would of loved your library of tones!! ;)

Thats why I would want that Kemper...
Seems like such a great idea. And the feedback has been pretty darn good.

FWIW, had no problems with my Ultra, and haven't had any issues whatsoever with my A2.

Dependability-wise, the Axe-II is solid. This doesn't preclude the Kemper's level of dependability; nor is this a statement about which one is "better".

The bhz/irony level is high in here today

Here's a happy KPA owner
The unit is amazing
I don't think durability/issues are a factor in this matter for either
